0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 5:54pm #157257
QHaynes123high round 2? I know…he is not going in the Draft. He wont be selected.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 5:58pm #157260
btownkidTHE ONLY CENTER IN THE DRAFT WITH BETTER NUMBERS IS THABEET
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:01pm #157264
QHaynes123Doesnt matter…only that matter is upside, current skillset and who did he play?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:02pm #157266

auberParticipantIt doesn’t mean his games better. A Rafael Arujo clone at it’s finest.

Didnt jason thompson come out of a small school0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:12pm #157274
QHaynes123What about Gonzaga, Stanford and Harvard?
Brook and Robin Lopez played against alot of NBA talent in the Pac-10
Yea Jason Thompson came out of Rider but are you suggesting this man should go 12th in the draft?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:12pm #157275

auberParticipantBro it’s John Bryant. If he makes an all star game you can personally appear at my address, slap me in the face and say “I told you so.” I really don’t see it happening.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:15pm #157277
btownkidI didnt say he is going to be a allstar but he has a chance to be a starter and at worst be a good player off the bench
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:17pm #157279
Scott42444ParticipantI guess I could see him getting drafted. My Bulls need a C who can score, but Aaron Gray already does what Bryant does but better. Plus, he’s got him by 2 inches and played well for a sweet 16 team. If Bryant was good, the thought process is that he would have done more to contribute in college to be worth drafting. I mean, Santa Clara lost to a Harvard team that started 4 guards and 1 forward. Bryant scored about 15 with 14 boards and 5 blocks, which is pretty damn good. Then, he played against Josh Heytvelt and Gonzaga and had similar points and boards but gave up 29 and 9 directly across from Hetvelt. If you saw that game, you would know that Heytvelt looked like the much better player on the court, followed by the other Gonzaga “big man” Austin Daye. Heytvelt is going to be a second rounder himself so out of ALL of basketball, do you think that Bryant would be taken just a few picks later? That’s just one example. If he gets with a strength and agility coach and is able to put together some impressive work-outs for an NBA squad, he can be signed outright as an undrafted free agent. Kind of like Brad Miller. If I were taking a big, slow footed, limited skilled center late in the second round of the draft I would probably take a foreign born player unless I thought he could contribute immediately.
Of course, some scout somewhere could have seen a tape of him playing and really liked what he saw and that team could take him anywhere in the 2nd. The second round is a crap shoot.

QHaynes123LOL…auber
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:20pm #157285

auberParticipantIt’s still John Bryant dude. He’s got a better shot of being an insurance salesman, Groccery Bagger, High School Janitor or Pedofile. I know I wouldn’t let him watch my kids for ten minutes, would you? He will not last in the NBA and my offer still stands. I’ll even give you my address if you want to take it seriously.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:25pm #157295
btownkidNo I wuld neva let a stranger watch my kids but what does that have to do with basketball

QHaynes123He’s got a better shot of being an insurance salesman, Groccery Bagger, High School Janitor or Pedofile.
LOL…i hope he doesnt choose the last one!!!
I think John was at my school “practicing” his post up sweep move

btownkidI think hes strange lookin but he can sure play just like george mieisan
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:34pm #157310
QHaynes123LOL…Look at all the empty seats behind him!!!
He surely is a main attraction
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:35pm #157311

auberParticipantSo he’s gonna have a 5 year nba career and than have his pituitary glands removed, retire and have his own cologne commercial?

btownkiddo you think you could have a five year nba career no so dont make fun of him
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:43pm #157324

auberParticipantI’m not 6’10. I’m 5’8 and white brah. Shits not happening. Props if he makes it but I think it’s a slim to none chance. He only benefits by all the big men pulling out.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 6:47pm #157328

sheltwon3ParticipantThat dude does look week and kinda like big country a lil but aaron gray barely does much for Chicago so this dude aint getting drafted

auberParticipantThat’s fantastic. I’m already censored as is. We aren’t 12 years old and warning each other on AIM. I’m just giving my honest opinion on John Bryant. Dude’s White Trash when it comes to NBA Standards.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:03pm #157348
btownkidlets double team him
0- Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:11pm #157355
Scott42444ParticipantActually, I was talking about you, but I was kidding. I didn’t. I think that I flagged a couple of people before on accident when I meant to hit “reply” and wasn’t really paying attention. Plus, even though it is a perfectly correct basketball term, “lets double team him” just sounds gross.
I wasn’t kidding about the negative a million, billion points though. I really did that to you and there’s nothing you can do about it! In your face! Boom goes the dynamite!

0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:12pm #157357

auberParticipantIt’s a message board dude lighten up. I Know I’m not the only one that won’t give John Bryant the time of day either dude. I’m still a valued member to this sight that provides insight on the NBA Game.
0- Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:18pm #157362
Scott42444ParticipantDude, although I was just making a lame ass joke, I actually had your back. I am hoping that John Bryant becomes an all-star though so someone can drive to your house and smack you across the face. Ha! That’s funny man. You crack me up.
“Do you want to smell like me?” Ha. Check out the Sportscenter promo with big Gheorge. He is “just dancin”. It’s great.

0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:13pm #157359

knicksfreakParticipantI agree with you auber. But i would like to see how terrible his athletic stats would be. I could use a good laugh. He makes Jerome James look ripped.

btownkidyou again i thought i told yu lebron stayin in clevlend

knicksfreakParticipantYou can keep him and have fun watching the Finals.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:18pm #157370

auberParticipantHe’s flagged me 3 time but still hasn’t asked for my address. I’m just saying I told you now It’s not happening and if it does my offer still stands btown.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:19pm #157371
btownkidyou have fun watching your knicks to
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:22pm #157375

knicksfreakParticipantWe suck. I’ll admit it. Cleveland is just getting older and everyone but Lebron choked. Dont worry, theres always next year. I dont know about the year after that though.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:23pm #157377

auberParticipantI’m a Memphis Fan. My team won’t make the playoffs in the next 3 years if we draft Hasheem Thabeet.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:26pm #157379
btownkidwho do you want them to draft
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:27pm #157381

auberParticipantEither call Rubios bluff and take him or trade down to Sacramento and Draft Jordan Hill.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:30pm #157386
btownkidJordan hill rocks but I would take jennings over rubio
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:33pm #157388

auberParticipantYou haven’t watched much European basketball then. I’m glad we can agree on something when it comes to Jordan Hill.

auberParticipantI haven’t even finished mine. I’m still waiting for the official pull outs.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:39pm #157396
Scott42444ParticipantYes, they should take Jordan Hill. No, I don’t think that they will.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:43pm #157400

auberParticipantI just see a 2-4 swap like portland and chicago did a few years back
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:45pm #157401
Scott42444ParticipantMakes too much sense. Plus, Sacramento doesn’t have Viktor Kryhapa to sweeten the deal, now do they?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:47pm #157404

auberParticipantThey have Donte Green which were more than willing to take haha. I just see it being Greene, Hill, #31 for Rubio
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 9:02pm #157426
Scott42444ParticipantThat’s a big difference financially too. If you look at Tyrus Thomas and LaMarcus Aldridge, the difference is that LaMarcus (#2) makes $5,844,000 million and Thomas (#2) makes $4,743,000 million in 2009-2010. That’s a $1.1 million difference. That usually seems like chump change in the NBA but that will pay for Darrell Arthur’s salary in 2009-2010. It makes some sense for the Grizz who, no offense, are trying to save some money every chance they get.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 9:05pm #157428
Scott42444ParticipantDamn, now I am going to HAVE to put Bryant into my mock draft. Seriously, I can’t not put him in the 2nd round now after all this talk about him. Especially if he does get drafted I won’t be able to forgive myself. My friends and I always have a friendly little wager about the 2nd round by the way, in case you thought I took the draft THAT seriously (and was emotionally unstable…well, I am but not in regards to the NBA Draft).
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 4:52am #157455
KevinDurantRocksParticipantIs at best a back up center and worst the 3rd center off the bench he is not that good when you look at his rebounds they all came off of free throw misses
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 5:40am #157467
j1232eParticipantWhen did this message get turned into your little gay dating game. I cant believe I read all those gay remarks!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 5:51am #157469

montrell_Participantanother rookie in the starting lineup wouldnt help us
i feel we trade the pick but not take a bigwe already got darrell arthur
trade the pick and get some help for the bench
go after a PF in free agency and more help for the bench
i can see charlie v giving up 16 and 8 next year
if the bucks dont sign him back
gasol
charlie v
rudy
mayo
conley4-8 pick whichever team offers the most or best players
rubio sure as hell aint the answer
we already got a PG that cant shoot
y draft anotherlet jaric, buckner, go
bench with arthur, hak, darko, freeagent, rookie, rookie
hak can score off the bench
darko has his nights
the freeagent im thinking flip murray he can play pg/sg and can score wit the best of bench players
rookie tyreke evans , or james hardenand the 27th pic draft a pg
thats just my input
GO GRIZZ
yes im a memphis native
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 7:02am #157496

auberParticipantIf we can’t get a 2-8 swap done with new york, or a 2-4 swap with Sacramento I think we just draft Rubio and see where it goes. I like arthur, but he reminds me of a Marvin Williams clone and is better suited for the bench. I just see them ending up with Jordan Hill when everythings said and done.
J1232E;
Btowns got a straight man crush for John Bryant. I had fun with it though last night haha0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 7:10am #157504
j1232eParticipantThey both probably got that crazy eye! (molestation)
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 7:44am #157526

LeBron James the 2ndParticipanthey say yes if u think curry would fit in to the timberwolves organization….explain why
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 8:09am #157551
QHaynes123Curry can be a good PG/SG
he could lead a team and help Love, Jefferson and Brewer improve their game
and he can be a team’s sharpshooter and late game scorer
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 8:16am #157556
LeBron James the 2ndParticipantjefferson’s already really good…the problem is that the timberwolves have like 5 really good people they will get in the draft……..and the wolves r going to keep like 10 of the same people in the 15 man rost and only 12 can be active..it sucks
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 11:17am #157696
btownkidCurry is good but he can only shoot there are pointguards like ty lawson and eric maynor that can rebound and get asssists to
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 11:24am #157699
btownkidjohn bryants a good player and will be drafted but he scares me and I really dont trust him

btownkidhe should go late round 2 in 5os
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/06/2009 - 11:31am #157708
QHaynes123i think he will be the 75th pick
That means 15th overall pick in the NBDL draft.

QHaynes123No he is not…he played a couple of ok NBA players now.
Lets compare.
John Bryant played in the WCC, where the Zags are thier only threat. He played the Lopez twins once.
Blake Griffin played in the Big 12. Cole Aldrich, Mike Beasley, Julian Wright, Darell Arthur, Craig Brackins.
Jordan Hill played in the Pac-10. Brook and Robin Lopez, Kevin Love, Jon Brockman, Cole Aldrich, Ryan Anderson
Hasheem Thabeet played in the Big East. DeJuan Blair, Terrence Jennings, Samardo Samuels, Luke Harangody, Greg Monroe, Roy Hibbert, Big Baby Davis
and all these guys are or will be NBA guys. Bryant played 3 quality big men, Griffin 5, Hill 7 and Thabeet 7.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 11:37am #158031
btownkidBryant would be a good pick late second round and has a good chance to back up at center or even start
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 12:04pm #158061
btownkidhes a good young player but still needs to fix his weight problem
