STATnMeloParticipantStep 1- 3 way trade Charlotte- Devin Harris and Reynaldo Balkman, Utah- Chauncey Billups and Stephen Jackson, New York- Raja Bell, #12pick and Kwame Brown
Step 2- Trade Toney Douglas to the Miami Heat for #32 pick and Mike Miller
Step 3- Draft Kemba Walker #12, Marcus Morris #16, Josh Selby #32
Step 4- Sign Greg Oden at 5yrs 55mil(Portland wont match this) Roger Mason (1.5mil) and Anthony Carter(vets minimum) and
Step 5- Hire Mike Brown as the top assistant coach and defensive specialist and Marc Jackson as an assistant coach
Step 6- Develop Kemba and Josh into a potent backcourt with intense off season training and film. Turn Kemba into your prototype Point Guard and Selby into your combo guard. Have Marc Jackson work with them. They should live in the gym and dominate summer league and the pre-season.
Step 7- Carmelo Anthony should turn about 10 punds into muscle he needs to get thinner so he can get up and down the floor faster. He should fast again like he did early on and work on his legs so he can jump higher so instead of taking lay ups and getting rejected he can dunk on opposing players heads.
Step 8- Landry Fields should learn from Raja Bell how to play one on one defense more effectively.
Step 9- Bring in Jerome Jordan and develop him for the 1st half of the season. He should go to the D-League for a month or 2 to get used the NBA style of play along with summer league and pre-season then by the all star break bring him in the rotation and see where his game is at.
Step 10- Find a better minutes rotation, Carmelo goes off early in the 1st and then sits for 7 minutes of game time not actual time. He also has only average 6.5minutes of 4th quarter time since joing the team. he needs at leats 9mins so do like George Karl and bring him and STAT out with about 2minutes left in the 3rd and then put them back in with 9 left in the 4th. 2mins to get their rhythems back and 7 to go off.
Hopeful New York Knick rotation
C- Greg Oden/Ronnie Turiaf/Jerome Jordan/Kwame Brown
F- Amar’e Stoudemire/Marcus Morris
F- Carmelo Anthony/Mike Miller
G- Landry Fields/Raja Bell/Roger Mason
G- Kemba Walker/Josh Selby/Anthony Carter
This team has the right mixture of vets/youth, speed/strength and rebounding/scoring

kindofblueParticipantI appreciate the hard work. But your plan while a little far fetched doesnt even help the knicks that much. If your going to play GM either make it far fetched (knicks get howard and cp3) or realistic.
Knicks need size. canidates:
Tyson chandler, dalembert, Joel p, marc gasol

sheltwon3ParticipantAll Knicks need to do is win. It is funny how teams go in a slump and everyone cries the end of the world. Lakers turned it around when many were tripping on their losses and Miami also. Knicks have been here before without Melo and they turned it on, I think with some weak team coming up this could give Knick the momentum they need to win.

the I in winParticipantGetting rid of Tony Douglas wouldn’t be smart but if your handing him to the heat then ok.

bobbybParticipantShel, the lakers went on the road and got board and underestimated some crap teams, then went on a winning rampage. The Knicks are losing leads , not playing d, losing to the bucks pacer cleve, back to back. The lakers were not getting killed at home.

SwatLakeCityParticipantOh sure make Utah even older then they are already. No way would Utah accept that trade. They need to rebuild with young players not get older by adding Billups and Jackson who are both on their way to retirement. Also Portland is not giving up Oden that easily. If they were, many teams would have already called in about him before the trade deadline and you probably would have seen him traded. Kemba Walker is not the great pg that you think he is. Irving is better then him and I know the Knicks are looking at 2 other point guards over Irving and Walker. They are looking at CP3 and Deron Williams. Most likely CP3. Don’t get me wrong Walker is a good PG and is a good passer, but he is not the passer that DWill and CP3 are. And the Bobcats are about as set on drafting Kemba as butter is to toast.
All of your 10 propositions are very unrealistic and never going to happen. Knicks fans are pretty much all the same. Very unrealistic and live in their own fantasy world. Don’t worry though like sheltwon said, the Knicks will turn it around once the playoffs are here.

Ahkasi ClayParticipant1. Ban Isiah from ever being able to "help" the knicks again!
2. Get Rid Of Dolan!
