For this weeks Viseland, my brother and I decided to focus on 10 players in the NCAA who had a couple of games under their belt to focus on for this upcoming draft cycle. We had already done a past episode on the players selected to the USA team for the Nike Hoop Summit, so these were all guys who were either NCAA returnees or top freshmen who were not selected to the team. Will have plenty of time to talk Cade, Suggs, Mobley, but think we touched on some really high level and interesting prospects. Appreciate anyone that checks it out, likes, subscribes or shares!

Who have you guys liked so far? Any standouts, guys you feel will shoot up boards? Keep in mind these are just 10 guys to watch, not our top 10, and for some other really high level prospects that we went in depth on, check out the Hoop Summit USA episode where we talked about all of the players selected to that team in 2020.

Javonte Perkins from Saint Louis for me. Good size for the wing that can shoot from anywhere. Scored 32 against LSU

Dalano Banton of Nebraska is definitely a guy to follow. He is a big, long point forward. I think his shot is better than his numbers so far, and will probably improve as he gets his game legs back after having to sit out last year due to transferring. Joe Wieskamp of Iowa probably should get more buzz than the absolute none he gets now. He is noticeably long for a wing, can handle, good feel for the game on both ends, is currently a comical 58% from 3, and I always like shooters who realize you can sneak in to crash from the arc. LSU also has a pair of them. Trendon Watford and Cameron Thomas both have prep accolades, but not really draft buzz. It is a little surprising given that the Duke, UNC, and Kentucky freshmen have not really impressed so far, so there are really only a few (Suggs, Mobley, Ziaire, and Cunningham with Barnes only having a couple games so far). Thomas absolutely looks the part of a 1-and-done scoring wing. He has the body, athleticism, and shooting ability. Watford appears to have taken the leap in terms of creating and shooting. Once the SEC season gets into swing, it will be worth following them. In the Saint Louis loss, it looked like they had no interest in playing defense. It will be a concern if they are content to just trade baskets, especially because they aren’t a deep team, but could grow into being a good team. I will also throw out Filip Petrusev who ditched Gonzaga for the Adriatic League, and he is just too good for that league. That said, it is giving him the opportunity to play a style more suited for showing off his abilities than just a back to the basket big man last year at Gonzaga.
