Clemson’s record in Chapel Hill all-time after getting embarrassed by Carolina tonight.  An absolutely stunning statistic.  I thought the streak might end tonight, but Carolina actually played with toughness, passion and a sense of urgency.  I don’t know how you can even begin to explain this streak.  Are there any other mind-boggling 0 fors in college or the NBA?

I have one.  No team has ever won a game, in college or the NBA, when trailing with zero seconds left in the second half or fourth quarter, respectively.

Although, if you watch the movie Glory Road, JoJo White of Kansas hit two technical free throws to tie the game after the clock had expired.  Had the Kansas Jayhawks beat Texas Western in the overtime period, then they would indeed have won the game despite trailing with no time on the clock at the end of the second half.  And we wouldn’t have had the movie Glory Road and I wouldn’t know this tidbit and basketball might have suffered a major sport-altering setback in achieving racial diversity, but I digress.

      So ha.

I saw the movie Glory Road, but I only saw it when it came out.

     Quite a ridiculous record.

Jacque Vaughn opened the 2001 season by missing his first 22 shots.  Only one I got.

A couple non-NBA, Cubs are 0-fer the last 105 World Series, my former high school is 0-48 against the top three teams in their conference in football since moving there in 1997…yeah their program not so good.  Great basketball program though.

The crazier thing from that game was the way McAdoo played.  When you go to the rim and finish that strong shooting 60% from the ft line is a bit more tolerable.  It wasn’t like Clemson doesn’t have some size and athleticism either.  That was the dude in the Clemson game that people thought was a lottery pick.

Thank you spacgrass…..that was the mcadoo that was a top five recruit and possible lottery pick.  I cannot for the life of me understand why he can’t bring it like that every night.  You can just see the talent and athleticism.  If he played like that on a nightly basis, he’d be a possible all-American.  Unfortunately, he’s been around long  enough to know he won’t bring it like that every game and that’s what’s so dissappointing about him.
