Player of the Week
Jaland Lowe, Pittsburgh
Lowe is the leader of the Panthers squad and has continued to climb draft boards. In a tight loss to Clemson, Lowe put up 15 points, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Later in the week the sophomore scored 22 points, 6 assists and a steal in the squad’s win against Syracuse. The Panthers are in the middle of the pack but could trend upward if Lowe continues this level of play.
Freshman of the Week
Daquon Davis, Florida State
While Davis’s stats don’t jump off the page the freshman has shown improvement as the season has gone on. In both of the Seminoles losses, Davis put up 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Davis isn’t ready to go in the NBA Draft this season but could be a name to watch for next year’s NBA Draft.
Who’s Hot
Jeremiah Wilkinson, California
Wilkinson has shown some of the best progress in the ACC this season. He won ACC Co-Rookie of the Week after his performance this past week. Against Florida State he put up 18 points and against Miami he put up a career high 30 points. Wilkinson is someone to watch in the 2026 NBA Draft.
California Golden Bears
The Golden Bears have gotten on a bit of a hot streak as of late. They have won their last three games and are climbing up the standings in the conference. The squad has regained a winning record with an 11-9 record. The blue and gold are currently in the middle of the conference and if they continue playing at this level.
Who’s Cold
North Carolina State
The Wolfpack have really cooled off since the start of the season. The red and black are on a five game losing streak and it doesn’t look like they can turn it around. They no longer have a winning record and are close to the bottom of the standings. It looks like this year they will need to reset and build for next season.
Marcus Hill, North Carolina State
Hill is the leader of the Wolfpack, but recently his play has lowered and North Carolina State’s spot in the conference has suffered from it. Even though the senior put up 14 points early in the week, in the later game he put up 4 which is not good enough for the squad to get a victory. His play seems to be trending down and so does the season for the Wolfpack.
