Dailyn Swain, Texas Longhorns
So far this season, the Longhorns have taken down ranked opponents such as No. 18 Vanderbilt and No. 23 Alabama, while also pushing teams like No. 2 UConn and No. 4 Duke to the limit. On a roster capable of going toe-to-toe with nearly anyone in the country, junior Swain has done much of the heavy lifting. The 6’8” guard leads Texas in points, rebounds, assists, and steals. After Wednesday’s 30-point outing, Swain has now totaled 85 points over his last three games. His blend of offensive creation, defensive versatility, and size continues to strengthen his case as a legitimate NBA prospect.
Freshman of the Week
Darius Acuff Jr., Arkansas Razorbacks
Arkansas has emerged as one of the SEC’s most dangerous teams, with much of that rise fueled by freshman standout Darius Acuff. The 19-year-old sits near the top of the SEC leaderboard, averaging 20.7 points and 6.3 assists per game. Acuff has now earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors six times, tying the mark set by players such as Bradley Beal, Jabari Smith Jr., and Brandon Miller. Following the blueprint of elite guards before him, Acuff looks like the latest John Calipari product to blossom into a premier national talent.

Nate Ament, Tennessee Volunteers
What has become a dream scenario for Tennessee fans has quickly turned into a nightmare for the rest of the conference. Five-star freshman and NBA Draft prospect Ament continues to deliver standout performances. In Saturday’s 79–73 upset of No. 23 Alabama, Ament poured in a career-high 29 points while adding seven rebounds and three assists. After a highly productive January, he now leads Tennessee in rebounding at 6.3 per game and ranks second in scoring at 16.3 points per contest, trailing only Jakobi Gillespie.
Auburn Tigers
After enduring a string of gut-wrenching losses earlier in the season, Auburn appears to be rediscovering the killer edge it flashed a year ago. The Tigers’ four-game win streak was highlighted by a 76–67 win over No. 19 Florida on Saturday. Unsurprisingly, Keyshawn Hall has been the driving force, posting his third 30-plus-point performance of the season against Texas while going 14-of-17 from the line. While Hall anchors the frontcourt, sophomore guard Tahaad Pettiford is tasked with initiating offense and spacing the floor. Pettiford has struggled this season, shooting career lows of 36.3 percent from the field and 26.9 percent from three, but when both players are clicking, Auburn boasts one of the most dangerous offenses in the country.

Oklahoma Sooners
At the moment, the best news for Oklahoma fans may be the 38–11 Thunder providing a distraction from the college hardwood. The Sooners are mired in a seven-game losing streak and sit tied for last place in the SEC. Despite having one of the conference’s most dangerous shooters in Nijel Pack, Oklahoma’s offense has struggled to find any consistency or momentum.
Boogie Fland, Florida Gators
While Florida has looked like one of the nation’s top teams in recent weeks, starting point guard Fland has fallen into a prolonged slump. After briefly snapping out of a cold stretch earlier this season, Fland has again struggled, shooting just 19.3 percent from three with one make in his last 14 attempts. With stronger efficiency inside the arc and at the line, a shift toward attacking his strengths could help stabilize his production.
Top 5 Offenses in the SEC
5. Texas A&M Aggies
While the Aggies rank third in the SEC in scoring, their lack of a clear No. 1 option remains a concern. That said, it’s rare and impressive for a team to average 91.8 points per game while regularly utilizing all 15 rostered players.
4. Arkansas Razorbacks
As noted earlier, Arkansas features one of the most electric players in college basketball in Darius Acuff Jr. Still, contributors like Meleek Thomas and Trevon Brazile ensure that opposing defenses can’t focus on just one threat.
3. Vanderbilt Commodores
Vanderbilt has stormed through conference play with an 18–3 record, powered by an offense averaging just under 90 points per game. Much of that success stems from the trio of Tyler Tanner, Duke Miles, and Tyler Nickel, who are collectively shooting 39.7 percent from three.
2. Georgia Bulldogs
Efficiency defines Georgia’s attack, as the Bulldogs average a conference-best 93 points per game. Led by Jeremiah Wilkinson, all 10 rotational players are shooting above 40 percent from the field, underscoring their commitment to quality shot selection.
1. Alabama Crimson Tide
While teams like Georgia prefer a methodical pace, Alabama thrives in chaos. Since the arrival of head coach Nate Oats in 2019, the Crimson Tide have embraced a fast, explosive offensive identity. This season, Labaron Philon Jr., Aden Holloway, and Charles Bediako have fueled an attack averaging 92 points per game against elite competition.
