Welcome to the 4th Annual Playoff Pickum Game! Hosted by yours truly, dmo21.

So the game is pretty simple. You pick which teams you think are going to win and in how many games for the whole playoff bracket. Basic scoring system is you get 1 point in round 1, 2 points in round 2, 3 points in round 3 and 4 points in round 4. You get double the points if you get the amount of games correct as well. Also, name a finals MVP as a somewhat tie breaker.
Picks have to be in before tipoff of first game.
It would be best if everyone just used my format. So, here are my picks:

WAS over ATL in 5
GS over POR in 5.
SA over MEM in 4.
HOU over OKC in 6.

  I was so happy when Cleveland got that matchup. That was the worst first round matchup they could have gotten. I think there’s a chance, but it’s a ballsy move.

West:
Warriors over Blazers in 4. Losing Nurkic is a big blow for the Blazers and will prove to be their downfall in round 1.
Jazz over Clippers in 6. Jazz were never healthy in their 4 games vs the Clippers in the regular season. Now they are, this is why I am predicting the upset.
Rockets over Thunder in 6. This should be a very exciting series.
Grizzlies over Spurs in 7. Grizzlies are not scared of the Spurs as they have beaten twice during the regular season, and the Spurs haven’t been doing so well as of late as they have lost 3 straight. 2 of which include to the Clippers and Jazz.
East:
Celtics over Bulls in 4
Hawks over Wizards in 5
Raptors over Bucks 5
Cavs over Pacers in 6. Pacers do well at home which is why this series last 6 games instead of 5. Lebron takes over in Game 6 and gets the Cavs to Round 2.
Round 2 West:
Warriors over Jazz in 7. Jazz played well against the Warriors during the regular season. Only lost 2 of the 3 games against them. They lost 2 games because they allowed the Warriors to go on huge runs. You take away those huge runs and the Jazz matched the Warriors shot for shot. (And this was with the Warriors at full health) In the last game against them which was also just played on Monday, they Jazz matched the Warriors shot for shot again but did not allow any huge runs, which is why they won. Of course the Warriors didn’t play their starters in the fourth quarter which is why I have the Warriors advancing in a very heated 7 game series. I know the Jazz will provide quite a challenge for the Warriors given what they were able to do while hurt during the regular season.

So now that the finals are set, I’ll give an update on the standings and who has a chance to win it all.
Here are the current standings:
1. kyle.jorundson (26 points)
2. roni3 and r377 (25 points)
3. BallCity1 (24 points)
4. Dmo21 and mamadou (23 points)
5. cohenbc1 (22 points)
6. RUDEBOY and Joacoddr (21 points)
7. DC Fraz (20 points)
8. SwatLakeCity (19 points)
LAST: OhCanada (17 points)
First place is still up for grabs with all but one team having Cleveland or Golden State winning it all. But last place is not up for grabs. That’s all OhCanada (sorry!). That’s what happens when you’re a homer and pick the Raps to make it to the finals…. haha
So here are the potential outcomes for the finals:
If Golden State wins in 4, 5 or 6 games, kyle.jorundson claims the championship.
If Golden State wins in 7 games, BallCity1 wins.
If Cleveland wins in 4 or 5 games, roni3 and r377 tie for the win (I need to think of a better tie breaker for next year than picking finals MVP).
If Cleveland wins in 6 games, r377 wins.
If Cleveland wins in 7 games, roni3 wins.

Also, my Seasons Predictions results will be a little bit later this year as I have to wait for the awards to be announced (June 26th). So please stay tuned until then.
