I feel like I’ve seen a similar deal between these two teams but I think it included Burks instead of the other pieces.

    soaringdownsouth.com/2016/01/29/atlanta-hawks-trade-target-4-hood-burke-booker/

Anyway, I actually like this for both teams.  The Jazz get an instant upgrade at point and the Hawks get rebounding help in the frontcourt and a young wing to build around.

    Thoughts?

No way the Jazz let Hood get away, Burke, Booker, late first round pick at the most. I don’t think jazz want to give up on their young players, they want to get healthy and see how things go then.

The Jazz are in need of a PG.  Burke just hasn’t been what they thought he would and with Exum’s injury, he’ll need time to get back to full strength next year.

Teague gives them that ability to allow Exum to take it slowly since he’s such a highly regarded prospect.

And the Jazz are going to have to give up one of their young wings in a package involving a PG that could actually help them.  Hayward is their "guy", Burks makes a lot of money and wouldn’t be as attractive to most teams so Hood seems to be the most tradable of the three.

I don’t see how you think Burke/Booker and a late 1st would be enough to net a difference maker PG for them.  Teague hasn’t played his best ball this year, but his addition would be worth more than just scraps, which is what your counter would be.

I’m not saying Atlanta would like or want what I said, I’m saying the Jazz won’t give up Hood (Burke,Booker)for Teague, the Jazz aren’t desperate , next year will be the year things have to happen, Hayward will need to see major improvement if he is to stay, he also wants to see the Jazz be able to sign and keep the young talent the Jazz now have. Getting talent to Utah has to come mostly thru the draft and they have a good nucleus started , injuries this year have prohibited seeing how things could be . Second half of this year and mostly next year will determine whether the Jazz think trading is something they should peruse.

I could see Burks, their 2016 1st round pick, & Lyle’s for teague. A 2016 1st round pick would be very late in the lottery, so the risk on them missing out on a organization changing player is low. Also with teague only turning 28 later this year I think they would welcome teague. They lose Burks & Lyle’s but, teague being the pg they need in.my opinion to turn the.corner of mediocrty &,finally become a consistent playoff team, would for the jazz & in.my opinion be worth it.

Jazz Fans (myself included) laugh at all these trade scenarios involving the Jazz.

Everyone else has forgotten about Dante Exum.

You guys are acting like Teague is this star player, he’s not and that is why Atlanta is willing to move him. Burks , plus a late 1st is the most I’d give and I’m not sure L’d even do that.  The Jazz are too high on Exum to give up very much for Teague.

Well, he is having a down.year especially after being an all star last year, but whoever said he was a star? The jazz have a talented core of young players that a pg away from being a perrenial playoff team. To you & HypeMachine, if the jazz wasn’t thinking somewhere along these lines would there be talks?

Also a late 1st doesn’t amount to.much as these days players take so long to develop, teague is worth more than that& a albeit solid player who can’t stay healthy teague has ti be considered somewhere between the top 10-15 point guarda un the league. Also didn’t exum.just tear his acl, he aint to promising for next year’s push  before hayword’s free agency.
