DeMar Derozan Slighted By Media

 It sucks people automatically put him in the Rudy Gay category simply for the fact that he’s as talented and physically gifted as anyone at his position yet you’re just left wanting more. He’s filled every hole in his game and has worked extremely hard each offseason, he deserves so much more respect.

He is such a great mid range shooter and really has embraced contact ever more than ever…if he could ever knock down the 3 ball with any consistence (he has been a bit better) he would be truely elite…I hope the Raps re sign him as it seems he loves T.O has a great work ethic exactly the type of player you want on your team..

Of all the players who are top 5 at their respective position, he gets the least respect. I don’t get the stigma against him. Just because he doesn’t shoot the 3 much

 Derozan is having a great season and has made tremendous strides over the past few seasons. Besides harden, Butler and Thompson he is probably the best 2 guard in the game right now. He has gotten so much better in terms of reading the defense and being able to manufacture shots out of the pick and roll, for both himself and teammates. They have actually been able to use him as the primary ball-handler for stretches this year, which lightens the load on Lowry and allows him to function as an off the ball threat at times. He is just probably never going to be a high volume three-point shooter, but neither was d-wade and he still had a pretty decent career I’d say.

I really have no idea why he doesn’t seem to get the respect he deserves around the league. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t play in a big market and is kind of overshadowed by his own backcourt partner. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t have much of a playoff resume or kind of carries this stigma of being a inefficient isolation scorer (which actually isn’t the case at all). Whatever the case, I agree that he is vastly underrated throughout the league.

DeRozan was born in Los Angeles and went to college there, it does make sense that some will think he will want to sign with the Lakers.  The Raptors know this, and signed Ross to an extension so they had a backup plan.

With the DeMarre Carroll signing not going too well right now, with no superstar free agents looking to Toronto, with Anthony Bennett taking a roster spot, maybe the future for DeMar would be better in LA and he knows it.

The Lakers have Russell, Randle, a very high pick in the 2016 draft, a new coach, salary room for DeRozan plus another max player, maybe the Raptors should look at a trade.  He might also like playing on a team with Lou Williams’ shooting, to spread the floor.

That will also show if the media are fake, and if they all fall in line and say DeRozan is the greatest in the NBA at his position just because he is playing for the Lakers then the bias will be shown,

The dudes balling and hes a stud, and being from Toronto i believe in his loyalty and i want him signed A$AP. Derozan would average 25 per game or more if Lowry werent on the team, Also meaning that Lowry and Derozan are the best backcourt in the Eastern Conference, and Derozan definetly deserves to be an allstar over quite a few players in my opinion. *cough* *cough* Kyrie Irving. Always performs against great teams.
