 Justin Harper is going to Orlando now and With the 4th pick you dont draft on teem need you draft on how good you think a guy will be and i guess they thought Tristan Thompson will be there best option. I think he wasnt the best option but he will fit in perfect with Kyrie in the feature he kinda has Derrick Williams’s high motor and ability to cut to the basket and with Kyrie thats a good duo also they need the defense and rebounding .They can get the offense in next years draft because we know they will be in the top 5 again and maybe land Harrison Barns

yeah it wasnt very good. if i was the cavs i would have selected irving 1 then pick 4 the 2s or 3s avaliable was alec burks, klay thompson at 2 and really no 3s unless you consider vesely a 3 . so thompson wasnt a bad pick but i think jonas would have been better but he may take many years to both be nba ready and play in the nba because of buyout. 

now if they would have picked williams 1 then that would have oppened up options as most likely kanter would go 2 and 3 would be irving then they could take knight. ( this only works well if williams can play 3 effectively to fill need

2nd round i would have picked either honeycott or jeremy tyler both would fill a need and the guy at 56 seems to have talent . he has 23 points 14 rebounds and 6 assists in hoops summit but if he never comes to nba its a stupid wasted pick.  yes lighty was a much better option considering 3 of the 4 players we drafted are power fowards when we already have harangody, hickson, varejao, samuels, jamison

I agree completely, I really hope some trades will take place, because the Cavs have a bunch of solid PGs (Baron Davis, Sessions, Irving) and PFs (Hickson, Jamison, Samuels, Thompson) and absolutely no talent on the SG a SF positions

they have manny harris and gibson at 2 even though giblson is more of a 1 someone has to play 2

By taking Williams the Cavs were in the drivers seat. It would have made so many teams unhappy especially Minny. That would have opened trades and other things we could not imagine. But by playing it the way the Cavs did they let the other teams off the hook and get better talent then they should have or could have. Williams and Knight would have been a good start and much better then what they got. Irving is a huge risk for the first pick in the draft, he has so little amount of work to judge him by.

In fact they might have gotten him with the #4 pick because neither Minny nor the Jazz would have taken him. Minny would take Kanter and the Jazz would have moved out and Irving would still be there or so many other players, so many other scenarios. Maybe the Jazz and Cavs switch so they can get Irving, who knows??????

Very poor draft strategy by the Cavs. They could have probably moved back and still have gotten Tristan Thompson later and another pick. The Cavs will be bad for a long time so they will be in the lottery next year and for a few more. The Cavs had good assets in picks and players and came away with too many question marks.

If they would’ve taken Williams first, there is no way Minnesota would’ve taken another point gaurd. We (Minnesota) would’ve been forced to take Kanter. I don’t think Utah wanted a point either but if they did it would’ve been Irving. Meaning Cavs would’ve had Knight. i don’t think the fall off from Irving to Knight is that great but the distance between D.Williams and T. Thompson is a larger gap.
