Playoff Pickum Game 2021

Bit of a time crunch this year for the 8th annual Playoff Pickum Game, as one play in game is still not played. But we can start to get out picks in. You can change your picks up until the start of the first actual playoff game.
Simple concept. Pick who you think is going to win each matchup and in how many games. Get points for predicting the right winner and get more points for predicting the right amount of games (only if your team wins, of course). Points escalate as we go further into the playoffs. All picks must be made prior to the tip off of the first playoff game. You can change your choices after you post, but still only before the first game. Last years can be seen here: https://www.nbadraft.net/forums/topic/playoff-pickum-game-2020/

  Well since GS didn’t make it in 1st round change that pick to Ut (4), 2nd round I have Ut (7) now over Dal. Conference Finals Ut (5), Finals Utah (4)

    Woooooooow! i’m a Jazz fan, have the same finals and I’m not even going that far on the Jazz. They do counter the Bucks but the Bucks have some players that can give us some problems for sure.

      Jazz aren’t even gonna make it out of the first round unless the refs keep helping them like in Game 2.

First let me say I hope this doesn’t happen … it would be terrible for the NBA and really depressing. I just think the way to win this contest is probably to go all-in on a somewhat unlikely, but believable, sccenario.

  I actually think Memphis is a potential darkhorse but I went with the safe bet here. This is the first time all year theyve been healthy, Jaren Jackson Jr. missed most the season, half the team missed a week or two with covid and other nagging injuries piled up. Memphis could shock the world although they are very inexperienced so I doubt they would beat Lebron.

Now that the first round is over, here are the standings:
1. Zouldiers: 10 points (only got Atlanta wrong)
2. NorrinRadd: 9 points
3. sniper: 8 points
4. dmo21, DC Frayyz and bt102: 7 points
7. armchairgm: 6 points
8. OhCanada: 4 points
Some notes:
OhCanada set a record for the worst first round ever in this game..
Zouldiers, armchairgm and bt102 have all their potential future winners still possible.
dmo21, OhCanada and DC Frayyz had their finals winner knocked out in the first round.

Well this year is just the worst.
First time someone got all second round picks wrong, and it happened to 3 people!
Nobody has their NBA champs picks left. So the winner will be determined after this round.
Only 4 people have teams left actually going to the finals.
But whatever, here are the current standings:
1. Zouldiers: 12 points (held on and still has Bucks alive)
2. bt102: 11 points (shot up the standings with a whopping 2 correct choices in round 2) (still has Bucks alive)
3. armchairgm: 10 points (still has Bucks alive)
4. DC Frayyz: 9 points (still has Clippers alive)
5. dmo21: 9 points (1 second round pick right, but can’t get any more points)
6. NorrinRadd: 9 points (no second round picks right, can’t get any more points)
7. sniper: 8 points (7 correct picks in round 1, 0 correct picks in round 2. Can’t get any more points)
8. OhCanada: 8 points (only 5 correct picks in round 1&2 combined. Luckily nailed the Clippers series in round 2 or this would look a lot worse. Can’t get any more points).

Well, this game is over now. Nobody had Bucks or Suns winning it all. Here are the final standings:

Damn if I kept the Bucks and didn’t switch day before to Jazz I could have won if Bucks win and in 7 to go back to back. I think Suns are going to get them though so oh well.

Could have had a 3 peat if the Heat won last year haha oh well. Not sure I expected being a 2 time winner though but I’ll take it
