Most of the time i got your back. But Obama has done nothing right so far lol. And most of the stuff that went down with Bush was not all his fault. Calling him the worst of all time is harsh. And Obama is not nearly as smart as people give him credit for. And the truth is only reason he got into office was because he is black (yes i know i just said he was not black above) I have no problem with a Black man in office. Just as long as he is not only there because he is black. And i look forward to your e-mails.
im not really repuclican or democrat. I thnik there is good and bad on both sides. But the repuclicans should be slapped in the face for letting sarah palin run for vice president. Democrats should get like 3 straight terms for that crap.
It's going to take more than a year or even 2 for Obama to get the U.S. back to where it needs to be. He's making progress like he said, and it's taking time, like he said. What was going right when he became President? Not much right? I don't think its realistic to expect Obama to turn the country completely around in less than 2 years.
And who was a worse President than George W. Bush? It's pretty much impossible.

I don't think Obama being black had as much of an effect as you're saying. There have been Black candidates to run before. I think he sold everyone on national change, since it was obvious it was needed after your beloved President Bush set the nation back. He got a HUGE percentage of minority votes, but he also got a widespread amount of votes from White people, so I think it had more to do with what he was promising as opposed to just being black. Let's not act like you can just use him being black as a scapegoat. I remember this election vividly.

Well JNixon the diff is that the Dem's and Obama had controll over the whole government. If there was ever a case when someone should be able to turn everthing around in 2 years, It was then. And what has he done that is so great? He sent more soliders over to Iraq. I was one of them. So his whole "I am going to bring all are soliders home in a year thing" Was total bull. So in 2 years from now nothing will have changed. And everyone will still be saying the same thing. "He just needs a few more years"
You are talking about change? what kinda change did Obama make so far that has benefitted our country? NONE our country is obviously no better than what it was when he started, and quite frankly, im thankful its not worse, because that what I expected outa Obama.
banks and credit companies gave out too much money and loans. People were spending money they didnt have for a long time. Its now catching up to everyone. That is maybe the biggest reason the economy is struggling and that started before obama or bush.
I wasn't around for Reagan either, but the impact he's had (especially economically) changed America for the better. We've studied him a great deal in economics. Besides that he ended the Cold War and challenged the Soviets to tear down the Berlin Wall.
I don't think you can really judge how good a president has been until they've been out of office for a while. That's why I'm holding judgement on Obama and the younger Bush. Clinton was a moron, but it turns out that he was a good president during his tenure.
Here is my list of all-time worst presidents
1) James Buchanon- Let seven(ish) states leave the union after Lincoln was elected and didn't do anything except say they shouldn't be doing that. Sidenote(he was also a closet homosexual)
2) Herbert Hoover- Just didn't know how to connect with the common people during the depression. Having federal troops burn down shacks of veterans didn't help his reputation either.
3)Franklin Pierce- Support the Kansas-Nebraska act and reignited the controversy over slavery. Also an alcoholic.
4)Martin Van Buren-The best thing about him is that he looks like Wolverine.
5) Millard Fillmore- Signed the fugitive slave act and made the tie-breaking vote on a band-aid fix compromise bill. Spent most of his time reading.
6) Warren G. Harding- Knew about his corrupt cabinet members and still did nothing. Just an overall ass-hole.
7) William Henry Harrison-To deal with concerns about his age (he was 69 when elected) he gave over a two hour speech at his inaguration. He contracted phnemonia and died shortly after.
8) George W. Bush-Y'all know why he's in this conversation.

Wow interesting topic. Also, how is it that George Bush got 8 years and screwed up yet Obama can't get anytime to do anything. Also it is true how economy was going bad before Bush. The problem is people spend more than they have and the government does the same thing. Eventually something was going to happen. I am sure if you look back enough there were worst presidents than George W Bush but right he is the most recent President to look and do some very screwed up things. If we find out that 911 was something the government had a hand in, it would put Bush as the worst president ever.

Reagan did some good things but he was also a stubburn and ..

2.Reagan tripled the national debt from 20 billion in the 70's to 120 billion by the mid 80's..
3.The number of homeless people skyrocketed during Reagan,becuz he sent millions of mental ill patients to the streets by stopping medical funding and housing for them...
Reagan also could have stop the spread of AIDS, but he was afraid of the political impact. (SEE: And the Band Played On)... Reagan was the also the President that introduced NAFTA (a job killer).. Economically the "trickle down theory" is one of the worst economic models of ALL TIME...
George W. Bush lied about Iraqi and Afghanistan (so we are fighting a never ending money grabbing war that puts pockets in companies owned by Chaney, Bush Sr and his other cronies), squandered 5+ Trillion dollars in surplus in his presidency and STOLE a election...
Obama hasnt been a bad president, but he also hasnt excatly lit the world on fire... Considering what he inherited (a country that was sinking), he did a decent job stablizing the country... And not to get political, but I'm just gonna throw this out there: Just because someone opposes Obama and/or is Republican, don't assume they automatically support either of the Bushes.
As soon as I saw that you put who was the first black president i realized your fatal mistake. Being in the PA Army Guard I realize politics is one thing that you can never just throw into a conversation because that is going to outweigh everything else you say and become the conversation. Politics and religion are a no go.
As far as me politics is like picking your poison. Being in the army republicans give the military a bigger budget, but sine I live in the ethnically diverse poverty stricken city of Philadelphia where if you don't rap, hustle, or play sports you're not going anywhere. Seriously I can hardly find a good job in this city with my college degree so when I hear about republicans worried about how tax breaks for millionaires or everybody's unemployment benefits will be cut off right before the holidays I wanna go on a rampage.
I applaud Obama for sucking it up and approving the bill because he wasn't about to let working class families become collateral damage in a political war right before the holidays. People need to give this man more credit. And another thing is he is really getting the troops out of the Middle East. I know this first hand as my unit was suppose to go to Iraq this year but after Obama's troop withdrawal it was cancelled. This would not be happening with Bush in office.

So many things get watered down with the votes in both legislative houses so whilst their polices originally may be very different what they end up delivering isn't that far apart.
Obama gets a lot of praise in the UK but other countries loved Mrs Thatcher more than the UK did. Reagan was seen as being a strong defender of his country's freedom and did a lot of good work with the USSR towards the end of his presidency.
