Trevor Booker
I like him as a player a lot. He is extremely athletic, strong and fast( its been reported that he was the fastest end to end player on the Wizards when they did some preseason tests.) He has also shown a much improved post game and an effective jab step he has used to beat defenders to the rim. His mid-range jumpshot has also gotten much better and more consistent. He is a warrior on the defensive end and gets lots of rebounds and blocked shots for a player his size. His one obvious flaw is his lack of size. He is listed at about 6'8, but I think he is no bigger than 6'6. He looks exactly the same size as Nick Young when they are standing next to each other. He should at the very least start for the Wizards for the rest of the year because he does everything that Blatche doesn't do basically, and there is no reason to start Blatche since they are obviously not winning any games this season.....
The starting frontline of Booker,McGee and Singleton dont compliment each other at all..But placing Booker into the starting lineup, brings some maturity and post play to the team..
I watched him at Clemson, and he is very talented, better than people know, esspecially on the boards and defense. I dont think he has a future as a starter, but I do think he will have a pretty long career and he will continue to improve.
He's my favoritye player right now. I love watching him play (nh). He's very athletic, and plays with relentless energy. He's the anti-Blatche. And contrary to popular belief, he's not just the athletic, hustle big role player that doesn't have any skills. He's more skilled than you probablt think. He's probbably the Wizards most efficient post scorer. I've seen him power dropstep, show nice touch on his hook shot with either hand, and has counter moves. And his jumper has been getting better each game. It's gotten to point where defenders can't just sag off him, and have to repect his jumper. He does a great job of using the jab step to create space.
The problem is that he's closer to 6'6", but his athleticism compensates for it mostly. He's been kind of weak on the boards this season, but he had 15 last night. Hopefully he can keep it up. There's no excuse for him not being able to be good on the boards consdering his strength and athleticism.

So the former Clemson star is in his second season in the league after being drafted #23 and he's tearing it up with the lowly Wizards.
Dude averages 12.7 ppg and 6 rpg in his last 6 games, along with several steals and blocks and he has 13 and 15 in the fourth quarter against the Heat.
I know he's doing all this on the Wizards, but he's doing well. (He's definitely helping me beat IndianaBasketball in the Fantasy League!) Does this guy have a legitimate future as an NBA starter?
