College basketball has the most entertaining postseason in all of sports for one reason: chaos. That is my opinion, but I would like to think it is pretty popular one. Anyway, the past week is a prime example of why college basketball is so beloved; regardless of talent or rankings, an upset can occur at any time. No. 1 Villanova, No. 2 Kansas, No. 4 Kentucky, No. 6 Florida State, and No. 8 UCLA all fell to inferior teams.
Just when it looks like Kansas is going to face stiff competition from two teams in the Big 12, the conference turns on its head. A top team lost twice this week, earning themselves a spot on the “Who’s Not” list. Meanwhile, Oklahoma State won their first Big 12 game this year, and followed it up with their second a few days later. While Oklahoma State was turning things around, so was TCU, but it wasn’t for the better. They lost all three of their games this week, weakening their NCAA tournament chances.
Flyin’ to the Hoop once again featured top teams from across the nation and some of the top talent in Ohio. This was the 15th year of the event and Trent Arena was packed with fans to show support to one of the best high school events the nation has to offer.
