littleteapotParticipantI happened to look Kentucky on sports-reference (mostly because I have a fantasy of Karl Towns going to the Celtics and wanted to check what he was doing), and I happened to notice that Devin Booker, while only playing 17 minutes per game, is lighting up the stat sheet. He has the second most points, the second most assists (at THE BEST assist to turnover ratio), the second best 3P% and the third hightest TS% on the team. I have watched a grand total of 15 minutes of Kentucky so far and everyone here knows more that me about these guys. Is Booker a legit prospect? Could he get more minutes and get some opportunities against starters this year, and could he have a place in the NBA or is this just a fluke/product of a lighter workload against backups?

imAboutDatActionParticipantHe’s been red-hot from the 3 point line the past few games. His really active on defense, which explains his steals.
Now, his assists are mostly due to lobs to the bigs. He’s not really creating offense.
His short wingspan( 6"6) and average athleticism will ultmately make it hard for him to be a OAD. I have him as a 2016 1st rounder.

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantThink Klay Thompson. He’s a legit NBA prospect, just for his shooting ability alone. He’s also been working on his ball handling for the past 2 years. Not really a offensive creator for others but can find the open man. I don’t think he should leave this year but if he did, he would probably be a late 1st rounder. He could also be Daequan Cook. Great shooter but really does nothing else great in the NBA. (I wonder why he’s no longer in the leagu, only like 27)
Kentucky’s platoon system, will make some players look good in their small period of playing time, and it will make some players hard to judge. Some players play better with more playing time, some players play worse. Some players will look like superstars in that small amount of playing time, when really they’re just good. Some players will look bad in that playing time, when they could really be better.

ncballerCeiling Klay Thompson
Floor Reggie Bullock
He will likely fall somewhere inbetween. Good looking prospect.
