jerb2011ParticipantWhat could OKC get for him. I know he isn’t heard of much but he is young and he is good. He doesn’t play because he isn’t a floor runner like OKC wants but he can bang in the post and his mid-range game is NASTY (rarely misses an open/ guarded jumper from what I’ve seen). His rookie debut against the Clippers, he had 15pts, 11rebs., and 3blks. He has been compared to Leon Powe/ Wayne Simien if that helps. He only played 7min a game but averaged 5pts and 2rebs in that 7mins. I like him and want him to be played more, but OKC isn’t using him and he could be a good player or possible 6th man for a team. Thoughts?

SteroidParticipantYeah, I hate that he doesn’t get any playtime. Hopefully he gets traded to a team where he can be productive because he can be good coming off the bench. I just want to see my cousin succeed… Back in high school, I never thought I’d see him at this point.

jerb2011Participantand he straight up Destroyed the NBADL 10 D-League contests (10 starts), White averaged 20.2 points and 11.1 rebounds in 39.2 minutes. He had a 27, 17, and 5 game in an overtime win, too

Lewieeeee26Participanti think denver should make a play at him
maybe for just like cash and a second rounder or something
would be a nice fill in for k-mart while injured/off the bench if they cant get tyrus thomas like they want

JNixonParticipantI forgot DJ White was in the NBA for a second there…This guy is nailed to the bench. I do think that he can play in the NBA because he’s a monster rebounder and a widy body who is physical, but OKC is just a bad fit for him.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantHe is a throw-in should they work a trade. White seemed like a guy who would be a backup power forward forever when he came out of Indiana. He works hard, has decent size, and some skills. At the same time, to hang around the league a player has to show himself off for people around the league. White really hasn’t done so. It could be like Afflalo situation if OKC does move him.

IndianaBasketballParticipantDJ is one of my friends and I’ve been highly upset that he hasn’t played in OKC. The surgery on his jaw to remove the benign growth during his rookie season and the fractured thumb this season set him back, but I still feel like he should’ve been given more of an opportunity. He’s not the shot blocker or athlete that Ibaka is, but I think he’s a better player.
I hope he gets traded to a team that’ll give him the opportunity to showcase what he can do. He can be a solid backup power forward.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantSend him to the Knicks, we need a big body in our rotation.
For what it’s worth, I always trade for White in NBA2K10 for my knicks lol

PlatypusParticipantfor what?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 5:57am #344702

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantOh, in real life…I dunno. He hasn’t played alot in OKC so I’m not giving up alot.
2nd rounder for DJ White?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 6:33am #344740
PlatypusParticipanthe was a high 2nd rounder and could’ve been a late 1st rounder so maybe if they throw in another 2nd rounder
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 6:45am #344750
Mr.Knick 32ParticipantHe played how many minutes last season? Also, I could go add a quality big in FA and keep my 2nd rounder lol
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 6:50am #344755
PlatypusParticipantThen do that and we can use him when we trade Jeff Green
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 6:52am #344757
Mr.Knick 32ParticipantHe played 12 games and averaged 8 min per game last season
If any team sees him as a key piece to a trade- That GM should be FIRED on the spot.

PlatypusParticipantno as a prospect not as a major player
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 7:03am #344774
Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI’m sorry, this is the NBA
He’s been in the NBA for 2 seasons and couldn’t sniff the court? No team looks at a player as a prospect. That does not happen.
