BULLS Fan for life I was rooting for the Bulls to select DeJuan Blair and look who they took. An undersized combo forward who looks just like he’s gonna be the same with my name. That’s right! I see James Johnson as the next Marcus Fizer…the biggest bust at the 4th pick.
I know Blair is undersized but he can contribute on a Bulls team that needed his specialty. Taj Gibson is again a poor pick and I am not happy with it. Gar Forman, you’re starting to make me feel disappointed in you.
Bulls Did The Best They Could Talking about james johnson being the next marcus fizer? seriously, dejuan blair has no acl is is strictly a post player who is more like fizer than johnson. sorry but james johnson can slash to the basket, shoot the 3, and post up, and he’s only a sophmore. Bulls need athleticism and height and since no one good was left for them after earl clark got taken then they made the right pick. I guarantee you that everyone would have taken james johnson over dejuan blair. And dont forget they drafted Taj Gibson as well, and he does what blair can do, not as physical but 7’4” wing span, can block shots and a descent rebounder, all blair has over gibson is maybe a better rebounder by a little bit but thats only because of strength, but blair is 6’6” so in the end that evens out. By the way blair is pretty much an over glorified mike sweetney because he hustles on every play, thats what is going to keep him in the nba for a while.
As for taj gibson, again hes athletic and can block shots, a hard worker, and can rebound as well. Hes perfect for coming off the bench and getting you some decent minutes. And he doesnt demand the ball on offense. Dejuan blair is a good pick for a contender but for the bulls gibson is a decent pick. At least he’s not undersized and can jump.
Its funny because everyone hypes blair solely because of what he did to the 7’3” pansy thabeet and then what? thats it, its his only highlight. Anyway he pretty much is a black guy that plays white.
