NBA Comparison: Leandro Barbosa

Aran Smith – 9/30/2006

Strengths: Speedy combo guard with stand out athleticism Really excels in the open floor with tremendous agility and quick feet Long arms and great athleticism allow him to play bigger than his 6-2 height An outstanding defender, really gives opposing guards fits with his length and quickness Turns steals into quick baskets with his whippet floor speed Attacks the basket well with a quick first step Explosive player who can finish at the rim with impressive dunks Coachable, smart player with a great motor and desire to improve Has shown tremendous improvement in his ball handling and point guard skills

Weaknesses: Lacks a true position. He has dedicated himself to becoming a point guard, however his skills are not that of a true point guard Does not have a real understanding of running a team. His ability to see the floor and find teammates for baskets is weak for a PG Outside shooting is weak, lacks range and consistency Struggles in the half court set

Notes: Received playing time showing solid composure and had some exciting plays for France in place of Tony Parker (injury) in the 2006 World Championships.
