NBA Comparison: Cameron Bairstow

Strengths: Potentially a “stretch” big with a traditional low-post game and range out to three … Good looking stroke on the outside shot and soft touch at the rim … Has a great deal of experience playing a pivotal role for a team in one of the best (ACC) conferences in the nation … Decent moves and deception in the post … Good hands on offense… Was the unquestioned leader of the Clemson Tigers, strong character and leadership … Soft touch around the hoop on the scoop layup … Decent vertical athlete … Keeps his head up and eyes open with the ball in his hands … Nothing flashy, but he makes the obvious pass, is not a black hole . A willing passer … Has an impressive 7’1.25” wingspan, which helps counter his below average 6’9 height … Good free throw shooter (78%) …

Weaknesses: Lacks size and athleticism as an NBA center … Despite an impressive 7’1 wingspan and a +5 inch wingspan to his height, his 8’9.5 standing reach is very small for a center and in line with a 3/4 … More of a bruiser than a guy with great lateral and foot speed … But he is not strong enough to overpower NBA opponents … not a rim protector, and will likely struggle on the dfensive end … Will it eliminate a portion of his offensive arsenal (in the post)? … Slow when facing the basket … May struggle to utilize face up skills with limited speed and size to free himself … Does he have adequate lateral foot speed to switch in a pick and roll?… Had an inexplicable drop in three point shooting efficiency from junior (40%) to senior year (32%) … Ability to hit the three is likely the linchpin in Hall’s success and draft stock … Has not demonstrated standout rebounding ability… Not a gifted playmaker… Has not received rave reviews on pre-draft process performance …

Notes: Hoops legend Coach K on Hall: “Hall is the most improved player on the planet. He played nine minutes a game last year and he’s one of the better big guys in the country; he’s a pro, really. He can shoot, go out and [he’s] mobile.”… 2019-20 South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year. Was a Two-time 5A State Champion… Sister, Thayer, was a standout volleyball player for the Florida Gators His brother Chris played basketball at Anderson University.

Notes: Measured: 6′ 8.25” barefoot, 239.6 lbs, 7′ 1.50” wingspan, 8′ 7.50” standing reach, 32.5 standing vert, 39.5 max vert at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine …
