NBA Comparison: Anthony Morrow

Strengths: Sharp shooting Brazilian with good size and athleticism at the shooting guard position ... Really impressed scouts with his outside shooting ability in practices at the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Oregon in April of 2019 ... A project, but one with solid potential due to his great shooting stroke and range ... Has an excellent work ethic ... Solid leaper with good body control ... Seems to play controlled and really does a good job of getting his feet set for shots ... Plays with solid intensity on both ends of the floor ... Measured at 6'5.5 in shoes, a 6'6.75 wingspan, but looking at his arms he appears to be longer than that ... A strong man to man defender who moves well laterally and also anticipates well for steals and blocks ... Has the ability to do it all offensively, but lacks the experience against high level players, so will take some time to get up to NBA speed ... Solid in the full court, a good run jump athlete who can finish at the rim ... Can run pick and roll and has decent vision and passing ability for a shooting guard ...

Weaknesses:
Hasn't played against a high level of competition, having opted to stay in Brazil instead of pursuing a career in the Spanish League other European leagues or NCAA ... At 203 lbs, has a solid frame and body but needs to continue to get stronger and build his core strength ... Uncertain how well he can adapt to a new culture and the grind of being on the road for more than half of the year in USA ... Decision to stay in Brazil to this point leads one to wonder about his adventurous nature ... Did not perform as well in the hoop Summit game as he did in the practices, so is he a guy that doesn't perform as well in the limelight ... Still a project as he has a lot of hurdles to overcome, and not having played in Europe is actually a drawback from both a basketball and cultural standpoint ...

Notes: Measured 6'5.5 in shoes, a 6'6.75 wingspan, 203 lbs and a 8'5 standing reach at the 2019 Nike Hoop Summit. ... Played two years in the Brazilian professional league for SESI/Franca ... Projects as a potential first rounder with considerable upside considering his outside shooting ability ...
