Strengths: Gutsy and a smart player. Has decent fundamentals. His precociouness is unbelievable. If he continues to get better, it’s scary to think how good he can become. Very athletic player, playing well above the rim with great skill level. At this point he is still weak defensively and his shooting can lack consistency. But he is in great hands at Benetton and will likely improve considerably. His shooting ability is pretty good. Has good upper body strength, especially considering his age.

Weaknesses: His size is a real detriment. He doesn’t have ideal size for the NBA SG position. Nor the athleticism to make up for it. He can’t shoot off the dribble, and his ball handling ability is poor for a guard. His vision and passing are average. At this point his talent is overrated. He is perfect for europe to be great 6th man for italian team

Notes: At 16 he was already playing minutes for one of the top clubs in all of Europe Benetton. This is a very impressive feat. However, as with many Georgian players, there is some question about his true age. If he is really 17, than he is outstandiing talent if he is 22 or 23 than his potential is really limited. Some feel his talent has begun to peak.
