Weaknesses: One of the biggest drawbacks to Stokes is that he has yet to master the point guard position For most of his career he has played with a scorers mentality and has not fully developed his point guard skills Will be viewed by many as a tweener or combo guard Too short for the shooting guard while lacking the experience at the point guard position Perimeter shooting can be inconsistent at times Must continue to develop his upper body strength his frame is wiry Despite his quality shooting ability, Stokes remains a below average free throw shooter Has battled the injury bug for parts of his career which could be rectified by improving his body At times he can get a little careless with the ball, resulting in turnovers Falls in love with the perimeter jumper instead of driving to the basket Could stand to improve in defending opposing guards on the perimeter
