Overall:

NBA Comparison: Paul Zipser

Strengths: Has excellent size for a wing. He is a versatile player with the ability to play both forward positions … He can go to work in the post, especially against smaller and weaker defenders … A hard worker. After injury (broken hand) last summer he prepared well for the new season and with support from coach Levell Sanders to improve his self-confidence … He’s shooting at a high percentage – from 3-point line and from midrange … The Czech Republic forward showed a solid three point shooting routine in the Fiba Europe Cup, canning 40 percent of his shots from the distance proving can score from inside and outside … Very physical defender, Skranc can defend multiple positions due to his size … He is a very good rebounder (5 per game in the Fiba Europe Cup).

Weaknesses: He needs to improve his lateral quickness to be able to defend perimeter players at the NBA level … Must improve his ball handling to improve his chances of playing on the wing … Skranc is an excelent team player but he must continue to improve his confidence and aggressiveness … At times appears too comfortable with just being a team guy instead of demanding the ball and showing the desire to stand out … He also needs to keep working hard on his basketball talent especially on mental aspects of his play ..

Notes: Skranc played for youth national teams on European Championships and especially the U20 Championship in 2015 was key for his future career. He received more than 20 minutes per game on the court and was one of the key players on the way of Czech national team to the best result in history (6th place) … 20 years old BK Pardubice’s player was one of the best young players in the Group phase of European cup … Skranc averaged 7 points and 5 rebounds in the FIBA Europe Cup.
