mikeyvthedonParticipantI know it is probably pronounced Chow Key or Chee, but it would be kind of cool if his name was Zhou (Zoo) Qi (Key) Ni (Nee). Zucchini would kind of sound like Houdini, making him seem like a rad Italian basketball superstar. It’s funny because it’s racist! Nonetheless, interesting young prospect, awesome games he had in this tourney. I had heard of him before, but with Chinese prospects you never seem to know their real age, but apparently in the last couple years he has grown quite a bit, which is a sign that he is not ridiculously old. Plus, he kind of looks young, but than again, so does Yi Jianlian, still. Nonetheless, good find. Found a link with a pretty funny picture of him with Yao and Wang Zhi Zhi.

HitsterParticipantIf he guy is really only 15 years old then he’s at least 4 years away from being drafted and probably more realistically 6 years or so as the Chinese Authorities like to hold onto their players untl they are in their early 20’s.
He is certainly a player to keep an eye on and if he does come through the age ranks successfully then he could be a monster down the road.
With regards to the true ages of some players often from African countries or China/Asia I always wonder how the teams can get them insured if their date of brith may be in doubt as that is one thing that any insurance policy surely needs?

kaceyParticipantWe know the Chinese lie about their players’ ages. I bet he is about 32 or 33, which also happens to be how much he weighs.
