makeitrain21ParticipantIm from Virginia Beach and go to the same high school as clarke and I feel Chris is the most underrated player in all of 2015. Recently picking up offers from Florida, Uconn, and UNLV, he is finally getting the high D1 offers he deserves. He was just ranked number 31 in the nation by phenomhoopsreport.com and was selected to play in the Global Hoops Summit. Hes super athletic and will be a huge player instantly for whatever school he selects. He should be cutting his list down soon as well. Check out this recent article about him also http://www.vantagehoops.com/news_article/show/407504?referrer_id=1103687 . Look out for him and a very good Cape Henry Collegiate team this year who went undefeated all the way until the state championship beating multiple nationally ranked teams along the way.

Lotto StudParticipantWitnessed his abilities firsthand in the local gym, I can say he’s a talent for sure! I just hope he makes the correct decision, when the time comes to announce his next destination.

IhateusernamesParticipantSeems like Va. Tech anpd Buzz Williams would be a good fit for him.

Lotto StudParticipantI’m opposed! No more local top tier talent should stay in state. The chances of panning out are slim to none. The difference between Clarke choosing Tech, may be the deciding factor to why he’s not a McDonald’s All-American (Cough! Cough!) Dorian Finney-Smith. He has more upside coming out of HS as prospect than "Doe Doe" right now. I just hope he makes the correct decision, because he is not limited in skillset.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantThose players staying instate isn’t the reason they don’t pan out, it’s due to them dominating their "pond" then getting into the ocean and people realizing they aren’t as good as the other kids who dominated their area. The ones that leave and make it don’t make it due to leaving the state but due to being so good that the Dukes/UK/Kansas/UNC types recruiting them.
most area fans don’t see it because the player who is good seems to be great to them due to the player dominating much lower comp in that area. It’s usually a player who has ok skill but is taller, longer, quicker and or jumps higher than everyone else in that area

Lotto StudParticipant“quicker and or jumps higher than everyone else in that area”
That’s apart of the game itself. You work on that! John Gilchrist wasn’t an elite athlete in HS and he was very polished.
If you want to continue speaking on recruits staying in-state, Marquie Cooke was 1 if not the best PG around throughout his career. Tech did nothing for him, although he did himself no service as well.
