MagikKnickParticipantThey had their eyes set on him for a while, they must see something in him
Plus hes better than Krstic and Collison, imo
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 2:52pm #340237

RickyRubio9ParticipantDude, you’re.. I don’t know. Haha
I like the move for OKC.
They’ve been needing a legit big & they just got another young prospect with some offensive potential.
Did you not see them get hammered on the boards by L.A?
Somehow, OKC makes another great move without even being in the Lotto.
Amazing..
Kristic, Ibaka, & now Aldrich?
Alot of length & depth at the Center spot.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 2:52pm #340240

WrecklessParticipantI think its good for okc
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 2:55pm #340247
nas23ParticipantSo u guys believe a 8 pts 5 reb 2 blks type of player is worth 2 first rd picks!?!!? You guys need to get your head checked
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 2:58pm #340257

buckeyefanParticipantKristic and Collison free agents?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 2:59pm #340267

NYCrealdealParticipantthey have a defensive presence down low now can they get a pf like lee in free agency that can step out and shoot a mid range J but 2 picks might be 2 much because they could have gotten whiteside with one of them but they must really like aldrige
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:04pm #340284

RickyRubio9ParticipantDidn’t Aldrich average 13 Points & 9-10 Boards with 2-3 blocks? Something like that..?
While playing on a Kansas team that had Sherron Collins, the Twins, & Xavier Henry..
I think that’s pretty good.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:05pm #340287
nas23ParticipantIt’s too much…Orton and whiteside and Alabi still on the board….way too much for an AVG center at best
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:10pm #340309
nas23Participant13 pts 9 rebs in COLLEGE!!!!! ….LOL…the guy will be a below avg center…..2 1st rders for him….LOL beyond stupis
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:12pm #340316
Should of went Whietside and Orton. Aldrich is a bust plain and simple, he 6-8!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:13pm #340319

PlatypusParticipanthe fits the system thats why they drafted him. look at his best skills and then look at what they need in a center
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:19pm #340356
waiting to see if its official, maybe, say okc picked Bledsoe that dosent fit NO?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:19pm #340358

RickyRubio9ParticipantI guess, whatever you say man. I think it’s a smart move by OKC.
Kevin Durant just said it himself…Aldrich is a big & defensive & that’s exactly what they needed against the Lakers.
I believe I said that in a post already as well.
& P.S Durant had been pushing for OKC to make a move to get Aldrich,
Franchise Player got his wish.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:20pm #340363

PlatypusParticipantthis means Collison or Bledsoe are traded
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:22pm #340372

JoeWolf1Whiteside averaged 13 and 9 in college, and Orton averaged 3 and 3
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:26pm #340391

NYCrealdealParticipantorton = a fired coach and gm for the team who drafts him
and rubio wen do franchise players not get wat they want lol0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:26pm #340392
nas23ParticipantThats the difference between him and Orton or Whiteside….my problem is giving up 2 1st rders….he’s a solid player but not worth 2 1st rders in a Draft full of BIG MEN
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:33pm #340418

NYCrealdealParticipant…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:34pm #340420
fastdanParticipantOrton, Whiteside, and Alabi are not ready to contribute in this league and they may never be able to. Aldrich is scrappy, he’s a winner, hard working and can do the things that OKC needs the most; post defense, rebound, block shots. And even more he can do those things from the first game of his career.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:37pm #340432
NastyDHLParticipantcole aldrich isn’t a gamble. orton, alabi, and whiteside are all iffy. okc need a legit center and soon, not a javale mcgee or deandre jordon.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:43pm #340454

joe2BAParticipantMORON!!!!
WHITESIDE, ORTON? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!
THIS TEAM IS READY TO CONTEND NOW, MORON.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:48pm #340475

apb540ParticipantOKC instantly become contenders in the western conference
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:51pm #340486
whyyouhatingParticipantCole doesn’t need the ball he makes plays in transition he is a winner and he blocks shots.
He will help them win next year. He is short but he is long as hell.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:03pm #340522
nas23ParticipantU need to get off your kansas boys dick…lol he never dominated college, never will in the NBA…his career avgs will be 8pts 6 rebs 2 blks….if all u idiots think thats worth 2 1st rders uguys should quit following basketball
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:14pm #340558

RickyRubio9ParticipantDude. Chill out with all disses …
Do you really think idiot or moron helps your point of trying to persuade us that it’s a bad idea.
& besides it’s called an opinion.
I personally like Aldrich more then an unproven player like Orton or Whiteside who’s all hype as of right now…0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:17pm #340549
LeBronCav4LifeParticipantnas23,
You’re obviously no more than 16 years of age. Having nothing better to do than talk a bunch of retarded crap on a message board during summer break must be nice………….
I love how you’re already declaring what Aldrich’s NBA stats are going to be. What’s even more hilarious is how you’re blatantly lambasting other people’s basketball knowledge when they don’t agree with you. Give me a break.
Grow the hell up and quit acting like you’re some kind of bastion of basketball knowledge. You clearly don’t know the first thing about it. The fact you seem to think Orton would have been a better option confirms this.
You make a big stink about Aldrich’s stats despite the fact Orton’s numbers are minuscule? Try again, kid. Because you failed this one.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:29pm #340608
B-ball fanParticipantHe is the third best center in this draft. He is a complete player who can produce immediately. I don’t see Orton succeeding in the NBA. Not only did he not get playing time in Kentucky, but he didn’t play well or efficient. I don’t see what he has done to make anyone think he will be better than Aldrich, who could be a starter his rookie year. Orton will be buried on the bench in Orlando.
0- Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 5:37pm #340881

plasticmanParticipantPeople get too caught up in the hype of drafting a superstar, it’s not always about that. Always trying to draft a star is poor strategy. Going after and the raw athlete with potential would have been a horrible move for OKC. You need players that can fill a need and play their role. Aldrich is a perfect player for them. I can’t think anyone else who would be a better fit. They already have their stars in Durant and Westbrook. All they needed was a legit center and now they have it.
He will be a very strong defenseve presence mark my words. All the haters need to shut up when cole averages a double double this year and the Thunder go deep in the playoffs.

plasticmanParticipantAlso I wanna say to the moron citing stats trying to discredit Aldrich’s game….Do you actually read stats or do you just skim through them? Look at the MINUTES!…Cole’s numbers were not through the roof because he only played like 25 min a game, because his team was stacked.
So if you can do simple math you would know that Cole’s numbers would actually be very good if given more minutes. 10 more minutes would give him about 15,12, and 4…great numbers

joe2BAParticipantCole Aldrich is 6’8???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Absolutely ludicris. He has at least 2 inches on Marcus Morris. He was the same height as ekpe udoh when they squared off.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 7:10pm #341057

HROT88ParticipantYou go, plasticman. They are a perfect match. I love the pick.
