    AMARE’S CASE
It seems everyone thinks Amare Stoudemire is returning Mike Dantoni`s offence to New York and leaving Phoenix and Steve Nash. I think Steve Nash is responsible for his high PPG average and that he could be a good 3rd scorer on a Championship team. He only averaged 6.6RPG in 16GP in the playoffs so a team aqcuiring him would have to acquire a C that can really rebound..Has an eyecringing Injury History which looks like it will create avenune for another major injury, which would fit the NYKs eye cringing Free Agency History. Other than that Amare is argueably the most Athletic PF in the NBA which David Lee is not. When he is with Nash and going he can average 25 PPG which David Lee cannot?

    LEE’S CASE
Lee averaged 20PPG in New York..Impressive.Somehow on the Knicks playing with Al Harrington on a contract year jacking up the ball everytime he gets any space on the 3-point line, Wilson Chandler trying to prove he can score points, Galinari also trying to dash up the ball, and a whole bunch of young players trying to prove they can play NBA Basketball.Somehow Lee averaged 15.3 shots per game, converting on 54%. Amare averaged 15.4 shots per game converting on 55% while playing with Steve Nash. Also Lee was the 3rd best rebounder in the NBA and Stoudemire was 11th but in the playoffs was 44th.Lee is also working on his 3-pointer this offseason.

Something tells me the Knicks would be better off finding a very good PG for Lee to play with, a tough center a premeire wing and role players before they look like idiots again.

Show me your case’s and who you think is a better signing.

Some good points, but people should stop thinking Amare cant tie his shoes without Nash assisting him

Amare Stoudemire was already becoming a great player before Steve Nash went to the Suns, he put up 20.6 the season before Steve came.

I still say keep Amare but if not, Lee wouldnt be so bad, he would improve their rebounding, but they now have Lawal, Lopez, and maybe(but i doubt it) Amundson next year that make up for Amares low rebounding numbers.

The problem with taking Lee is they wouldnt have the players that could help replace Amares low post offense

Im saying in New Yorks position why chase a PF when they have one already.Go chase a PG to make your PF better and a C to lighten his load.Tan add some premiere wings make him a 3rd scorer at the most and see where that gets you.

    Felton,Calderon,Rautins
    Salmons/Johnson/Allen
    Gay,Fields
    Lee,Galinari
    Hayward,Zoubek?

it must be that NY Bobby Brown if

Rautins is the 3rd string pg
    Lazar/Gordon Hayward is at Center
John Salmons is in front of Joe Johnson?
Brian Zoubek would make a mike d’antoni coached team
    Where did Calderon come from?
    Galinari is near the post

Okay Okay, hold on, one question at a time…Geesh..PUFFPUFF

    Okay…
Toronto Trades Calderon to New York for Eddy Curry and a 2nd round pick in 2012 or some sh!t.
Brendan HAYWOOD signs on a high NY type offer.
Rudy Gay also gets an extremely high offer.
Then the Knicks get whatever they can Johnson first, then Salmons or Allen.
Dantoni can slide Galinari to 4 and play small ball if he wants to continue his small ball.
Maybe Brian Zoubek can IDK Parakhouski?Koshwall?Washington?Radulica?Samuels?

the thing is…. david lee probably will be better in phoenix than amare… Lee is a much better rebounder, healthier player, and better passer…. neither of the players are great defensively..

idk seems like rebounding and defense wins people games… and with amare always camping on the high post on offense, he never gives them second chance opprotunities… leaving robin lopez and the lone offensive rebounder…

David Lee is already better than Amare Stoudemire, because he hits the glass. Giving him an all-time-great point guard would only make the difference greater.

Amare is a more dynamic scorer than david lee, but i do like the all around aspect of lee’s game more. Watching Stoudemire, he would pump an entire arena up with a thunderous dunk and pounding his chest. David Lee is a more humble, quiet kinda guy who phoenix fans (who adore all of their players) would love too. Amare is obviously a much better physical speciman of an athlete, but david lee might be a better fit for the suns….

Amare is a post presence..David Lee is a floater..No way will Phoenix be better with Lee then Amare..Plus power forwards like Duncan & Dirk have a hard time trying to stop Amare..
