Stop_basketball_nonsenseParticipantThis is one of many different 2009 redraft posts,& I must say I’m surprised at how many of the, this being the latest, have rubio still going in the top 10. Considering the careers wes mathews &,taj Gibson has had I would have thought more people would consider them as players who have contributed more to winning than rubio has. I think taj if given a starting role who has played behind boozer & gasol for most of his career could have probably.put up atleast 15pts 9rebs & 1.5 blocks a game, just an assumption.
Still rubio.is a hustler, a good, not great passer, & he is smart& but he hasn’t improved the Timberwolves as much as he was considered to be able to do. He had love, who I’ll admit I never saw him as a multiple time all star but what can you do, still those 2 high profile guys couldnt get into the playoffs once together! Rubio shoots the ball overall at .367% & from 3 at .314% he need to be able to shoot the ball & he hasn’t proved he can plus sometimes he is standing behind the 3 point line& his man guards him at the free throw stripe &,his lack of confidence still makes him reluctant to shoot. This kind of defense that can be played against him clogs up passing lanes which doesn’t make it any easier to utilize his passing skills &, makes it even harder to get into their offense.
I could say Jennings made the playoffs twice, but some will say it was in the east & thTs fair. To be honest had Jennings gone to the wolves I think the year harden propelled the rockets into the playoff his 1st year there, I feel with Jennings a guy who is confident in his shot would have gave love more help towards making that obtainable playoff push. Rubio is a better passer but not by much. I mean the rockets only won 45 games that year, I’ll always remember that year as the 1 nobody could say "its cuz the wolves play in the west they can’t make the playoffs" & i know rubio missed some games but they completely had a chance. In my opinion wes, taj,Jennings, & Evans go ahead of rubio.

hoffmanm6ParticipantI know the Thunder were extremely scary with James Harden as their 6th man but according to this scenario, what if Blake went to OKC? Russ, KD, and Blake as the core? Talk about a ton of versatility and potential. If this were the case, OKC would have a championship by now and Scott Brooks would still be at the helm.
