steviechillzParticipantAssuming they ran resign Bismack Biyombo, I say go best available and get Marquese Chriss. Has great upside and can be the 4th-5th option in the starting lineup. This would probably be one of the better fits for Chriss(love the two S’s in his name)

dbeal21ParticipantThon Maker, Swing for the fences type of pick and I’d love it if I were a Raptors fan.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI think they go with a big here since biyombo may not be back and scola is on his last legs. Preferentially a mobile big who is a rim protector since that’s not really valuncunias game. My pick is Jakob poetl. Skal, chriss, and deyonta Davis could be intriguing options as well.

JoacoddrParticipantAs a contender, the Raptors are in position to gamble on a high upside prospect who won`t be able to contribute this year but one they can send to the D-League to make him improve.
I was between Skal Labissiere and Marquesse Chriss but i pick the last one

OhCanada-ParticipantTough pick but they can’t really go wrong. They can pick about 10 guys here and it would likely fit in just fine. I would hate to make this pick and I’m happy that the Raptors have Masai Ujiri who I trust to make the right decision.
Poetl, Sabonis, Chriss, Maker, Davis, Labissiere, Valentine, Luwawu, Korkmaz, Prince (I have him higher than most) would all be good fits in my opinion.
If Biyambo is staying I would pick Thon Maker.
If Biyambo is leaving I would pick Jakob Poetl.
I dont like the idea of adding Chriss because he cant rebound and he looks lost on defence. His strengths would flourish as a stretch big I feel he would always leave me disappointed with his lack of all around game.
Sabonis game is too much like Valanciunas but a smaller version.
Davis seems too raw although he would be a great longterm replacement for Biyambo.
The others I think would be a reach at 9 but would be good options to trade down for.

dremill24ParticipantMarquese Chriss.
Raps are lacking an athletic 4 who can also space the floor for Demar and Jonas. Chriss has the potential to check both those boxes in a big way.

blackflash234ParticipantI think I’ll have to go with Thon Maker as I could see him seriously rise through the draft process. Alot of been made of him playing basketball in Canada but this is a guy that put up arguably better numbers then Jamal Murray when he attended Athlete Institute; a freshman that averaged 20 points in college. Masai Ujiri has proven that he’s willing to gamble on picks and guys that have length/size evident by Bruno Caboclo over Rodney Hood and Clint Capela and Delon Wright over Bobby Portis. I think they like guys that check the box anatylically and I think they’ll find that there’s alot to like about Thon in that regard.

Pacersfan22ParticipantThis is a luxury pick for the Raptors so I’ll go Marquese Chriss. Ujiri will try and find a way to keep Biyombo but Chriss talent is too good to pass here.

JV’s_pump_fakeParticipantMaker is a reach and Chriss will take time to develop.
Rebounding and IQ are transferable skills from college. Take Sabonis.
Trade Ross for a pick if Maker is still available in the late teens

Troache1ParticipantNot a "sexy pick" but I think he could be a good NBA player. He’s only 19 and put up very good freshman numbers. He can shoot the 3, dribble well in the open court, and use his body to get good position inside. He’s a risk to take, but he could pan out to be a Kevin Love type player.

raptors15ParticipantRaptors need help now. They have no starting PF and with biyombo possibly gone no back up C. They have no cap space so has to be done through draft or trade. If through the draft then back up c poeltl. If they put for a Pf then hopefully not a project. The most polished being ellensen. I wouldn’t be surprised if Casey went deyonta Davis here though for his defensive upside and ability to swing between Pf/c

HitsterParticipantI have said on numerous posts that IMO their top target should be a PF and as I had Sabonis to go 8, I’ve got to stick with him although Poeltl also looks a very tempting pick especially if Biyombo moves on in FA.
