I apologize for skipping a day, but thanks to the spam, we probably wouldn’t have gotten many votes anyways, so I apologize. Anyways…
The Suns are now on the clock. Their roster consists of: Chris Paul and Elgin Baylor
The Celtics are now on the clock. Their roster consists of: Dwayne Wade and Bob Pettit.
GO!!!

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantSuns grab the best all-around center left; Hall of Famer Bob Lanier. The 8 time All-Star averaged 20.1 PPG, 10.1 RPG, 3.1 APG while shooting 51.4% from the field and 76.7% from the line in his 14 year career.
The Celtics grab Dennis Johnson to share ball handling duties with Wade in the backcourt. The 5 time All-Star and 9 time All-Defensive team selection won the Finals MVP with the Sonics as an SG, won a title with the Celtics as an SG and then won another ring with Boston as their starting PG. One of the best perimeter defenders in NBA history he can lock onto the other teams best scoring guard.

stealsgaloreParticipantSuns take Wes Unseld to throw outlet passes to Baylor and set monster screens for CP3
Celtics take Dennis Johnson. I like that pick for them, that’s a devastating defensive backcourt and will punish any team that plays a small guard (both Wade and DJ are excellent post-up players)

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantOn a sidenote ZachAttack, how did you come up with the draft order again? All Time team win-loss record right? Kinda weird to see the Suns, fourth all time after the Spurs, Laker, Celtics. I never really think about them as a great all time franchise.

dremill24ParticipantNot having any titles hurts their rep, but the last few years not withstanding, they’ve been one of the most consistent teams in the history of the league
Bob Lanier for Suns
Wes Unseld for Celtics

ZachAttackParticipantYes I did base it off all time win-loss records. You’ve gotta remember they had the Barkley days as well as the Nash days where they were often looked at as Contenders for most of those years.

ChewyParticipantabout which teams are better than other yet, but the Bucks and Cavs are looking good… especially since they don’t have a Mount Rushmore player on the team.

dmo21ParticipantWell I guess I’m not following the tradition in saying the same players as everyone else, but here we go.
Phoenix: Jerry Lucas (like when Paul had David West…)
Boston: Dandridge (good defense on the wing)

morestealsthanscoresParticipantDmo – crazy how much people follow, consciously or unconsciously- if you don’t get your ideas in the first few votes, then they’re wasted! Anyways:
phoenix – this team has a desperate defensive need. Whilst I don’t just want to turn this team into the clippers, a team with Baylor at the 4 needs defence and rebounding. The best option here? Big Ben Wallace.
Boston is even simpler- this team needs shooting. Paul George please.
