dbeal21ParticipantMy vote goes to Buddy Hield, I think being a college veteran and a sharpshooter with a great work ethic he is exactly what Thibs and the Timberwolves are looking for.

zcnumerounoParticipantKris Dunn…
He’s the franchise PG this team needs. I think he’s underrated and could be a John Wall-type PG (a slightly worse version)in the league… not a go-to scorer, but a nice distributer and a terrific defender. His defense is what really allures him to Thibs.

steviechillzParticipantDepends on your goals…if you don’t believe Ricky Rubio is your starting PG of the future, you have to go Kris Dunn. Too much talent, defensive prowess, and ability to pass up and would be your PG of the future.
If you believe Ricky Rubio is your point, you should probably go with a shooter to help spread the floor. I’d choose Budd Hield in that case. I think Rubio is solid, not top 10, but definitely top 15-20, and that should be good enough to get you into the playoffs eventually. I’d go with Buddy

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantJamal Murray, could make for a dynamic backcourt with Lavine, positional versatility and the shooter they desperately need on the wing. Murray and Wiggins might be the start of a little Canadian contingent in Minny.

220ParticipantJamal Murray goes 5th to Minnesota if Jaylen Brown goes 4th. The Wolves have no holes in their starting lineup and the need depth in the backcourt. Jamal Murray would be a welcome addition.

dremill24ParticipantBuddy Hield.
Superb shooter that is constantly working to get better. Minny has little shooting and Hield is as good as it gets. He’s got solid length and decent athleticism to go with a work ethic that should allow him to become a passable defender, while drawing tons of attention on offense to give Towns and Wiggins room to work.

nill650ParticipantJust to get a vote in for the wildcard of the draft …
I am picking Dejaunte Murray over Jamal Murray with Bender gone , Dejaunte fits the profile of an elite nba guard in 2-3 years.
I am more inclined to select Jamal Murray as the safer bet given the complete game, but I don’t think he fits the mold of what the wolves are doing and if they do want to go with proven prospects (if you can consider ncaa play proven) then I would not be surprised if they took Ellenson or Hield either both of whom have more prototypical physical attributes than Jamal.

Pacersfan22ParticipantI am going with Kris Dunn, so far it doesn’t look like the popular pick but he is the exact type of explosive guard that Thibodeau prefers. Rubio could be shopped for another big man next to Towns but Dunn and LaVine could be a matchup nightmare size and athleticism wise.

BiggysmallsParticipantDunn. Shares agents with Thibs and Towns. Thibs isn’t married to Rubio. Rubio is fine, but he’s a year removed from missing 60 games. Dunn can come in, run the second unit for a year and if Rubio hasn’t progressed, he’s readymade to step in and take the team to another level in year two.

Arc12345ParticipantI think Rubio is coming along nicely. There’s no need to bust it up now. LAVINE IS NOT A PG in the NBA. He is a clear 2 guard.
I think it’s between Jamal and Hield, and I’m definitely higher on Murray.

HitsterParticipantThe T-Wolves have filled a lot of key positions in the last few years so I’d say they are probably looking for a complimentary player to challenge for a starting role in the back court or PF and also as a possible long term 6th man.
I’ve always been a big Rubio fan so I’m hasppy for him to contine at PG ands create for Wiggins, KAT, Lavine etc. Lavine and Wiggins can both handle the ball if needed to. So I’ll discount Kris Dunn and I still think to reach for any PF might be too much at 5. If they want a PF then maybe try to trade down to 7 or so, if Denver or Kings were willing to do any deal.
So it comes down to Hield or Murray. Hield is more NBA ready but Murray is over 3 years younger and has more upside IMO and can play both backcourt roles. If they want a 6th man and shooter then it’s Hield or if they want to really challenge Rubio and Lavine to up their game to retain their starting roles then it’s Murray.
I tend to draft on upside so I’m going with Murray.

Evan_MilbergParticipantTough call. I go with Murray, though.
Although Hield is a better FG, 3PT and free throw shooter than Murray, Murray has a higher upside, potential to push Rubio and LaVine at PG, and is slightly less turnover prone than Hield.
