dmo21ParticipantI’m gonna go with Stockton and Mr. Elgin Baylor.
Also, it’s nice to see that Portland chose KD over Oden this time.

r377ParticipantJohn Stockton – Very good shooter with excellent fg% and 3pt %, he could of averaged 20+ppg if he shot the ball more, but leading the league in assists for 9 straight years will do that to you………
Extremely, extremely durable. He played 82 games 16 out of his 19 seasons. No rest days or “flu like symptoms” like the kids of today.

Elgin Baylor
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bayloel01.htmlI wont be here tomorrow so ill add these two for tomorrow: (hope ewing gets taken tomorrow)
27 Patrick Ewing – Defensive bigs always get drafted higher. Ewing was a good defender and shot blocker. He also had a good post game
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/e/ewingpa01.html
28 Bob Pettit – outstanding rebounder, lead league in scoring twice. Played 9 seasons and was an all-star all 9 times. League MVP twice and runner up twice – not bad for 9 seasons. Lead his St. Louis Hawks to NBA finals a couple of times where they lost in 7 games to the Celtics. Did win one championship.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantGreat shout out for Pettit, but just as a point of note, he played 11 seasons not 9. Great player though and it’s funny how people have no problem putting Wilt, Russell, Big O and West very high in their all time rankings but don’t treat Pettit the same. He is probably the greatest PF of the first 40 years of NBA history.,
There’s a cool vid of him on youtube if anyone is interested, it’s called "Bob Pettit: A Will To Win"

morestealsthanscoresParticipantI get the feeling (judging by recent votes) that my big board looks very different to some people (I’ve got Willis reed, Bob Pettit, Bill Walton and maybe even wes unseld coming up…!)
but right now, I’m going for Steph curry – the best shooter ofall time without question – and John Havlicek – a great all round winner.
please don’t let my jazz get stuck with Stockton 🙂

morestealsthanscoresParticipant…and I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m definitely at the point in the draft where I start taking risks – I don’t think the team picking at 30 can win this without when of the greats – even if they’re picking 30th/31st! The peak vs consistency thing is also difficult – I don’t feel Derrick rose is draftable for instance, probably not in the first four rounds at least – but at his peak…
