Gonna go with Sabonis. BPA and is a good fit as the 3rd big. He can play beside Favors or Gortat. Spreads the floor better than those too. Could go for potential with Skal or Maker, but I believe Sabonis can make an impact on this potential playoff team.

Utah going big makes sense. Sabonis, Skal and Maker are good options for me.

It is early in the morning here! Mixed up the names of foreign big men. Definitely Gobert!

Dejounte Murray. I have been listening to David Locke and he thinks they going for a wild card in the draft. He was right about Lyles last year so I’ll stick with him.

Jazz select Denzel Valentine. The Jazz would love to deal this pick for a veteran because they have enough youth in Hayward, Gobert, Lyles, Exum, Favors, Hood, Burks and would rather get a piece that can help immediately to help them push the next step in making the playoffs. Valentine is the most NBA ready player at this point and could fill a key role in the 2nd unit off the bench.

I’m going with Malachi Richardson. They should go for a wildcard and he is one of them. Plus, they drafted Lyles last year so probably a guard will do.

I’m gonna go with Denzel Valentine, Looking at Utah’s roster they don’t have a glaring need and guys like Denzel always seem to get taken earlier than projected, being a senior and one of the best college players this year he could come in and help the Jazz compete for a playoff spot if that’s their goal.

shooting and athleticism and korkmaz has both…..going international gives them some time to figure out what they got in their backcourt between Exum, Burke, Burks, Hayward and Hood.

Utah would probably like to add another ball-handler that can contribute immediately. Valentine makes sense here. He is a versatile player that could probably play 3 positions (including some pg) and should be able to step into a second unit role pretty much right off the bat.

     Sabonis.

His one weak point is defensively but with Gobert they can hide him better than most teams could.

Ive got Sabonis but to be fair I forgot all about Lyles…..still could be sabonis but since we all reaching Ill take Malik Beasley even if you play him at the two he meshes well enough size wise with the taller Exum to not have any perimeter mismatches.

Jazz need a playmaker, not necessarily a point guard, a player who can contribute right away so they can finally compete for a playoff spot. My vote is for Denzel Valentine.

I’ve stuck with Sabonis a lot but Utah have Gobert, Favours and Lyles who they only drafted last year. They took Kanter when they already had 3 bigs so could easily take Sabonis or Skal.

As we move down the draft then Maker comes into play, him in a line up alongside Gobert gives insane length but I’m not convinced Utah would take him with others available.

Ruling out a big I’m going for Korkmaz to give bench depth at SG and possibly SF. Utah have taken Euro guys before so I figure they take another here.

might be anyone from korkmaz to maker still in play here but I’m going with the older Brice Johnson

his jumper is improving his athleticism and iq are off the charts and he has a damian lillard work ethic.

improved his ft % from 50’s to 80% over past 3 seasons at UNC.

It seems like a bit high considering the age factor, but I don’t see anyone else on our board in this predraft that makes more sense for Utah.

    Wade Baldwin.

There’s too many bigs crowding the spacing on the Jazz as it is, so Sabonis doesn’t really do it for me. Baldwin provides good shooting and 2 way potential with his length and athleticism. He isn’t a great distributor yet, but most of the team’s offense runs through Hayward and Hood, so he doesn’t need to be a primary ball handler right away. Between he and Exum they’d have great size and defensive potential at the 1.

Jazz need bench depth, someone who can come in and contribute immediately to this team that is just so close to taking the next step towards the playoffs. Valentine can spread the floor, make shots, and and make plays. Backup for Hayward and someone to possibly move on from Burks with after he was hurt all last year. Also an older rookie/"veteran" presence at 22.

Going big makes sense too, would love to see Poeltl, Sabonis, possibly Ellenson fall to #12. But depth there is pretty solid with Gobert, Favors, and Lyles.

Trey Lyle’s has been progressing well and he is still very young. I don’t think they go big because of that. They really need a distributor with Exums impact when returning from his injury a question mark and the fact that last year they played the whole season with Hayward as thier best ball handler Murray or Valentine only make sense as guys who can relieve, play with or succeed Exum’s production.

Another tough call. Sabonis is the best player available, but they really need depth on the wing, especially if they opt not to re-sign Hayward in 2017. I think Denzel Valentine is a great fit here. He can play multiple positions, rebounds and passes well for his size, and can contribute immediately. Korkmaz might have a higher ceiling, but I think for a team like Utah, which is a piece or two away from being a postseason regular, they won’t want to wait on potential.

    My vote is Valentine.
