sweaterflexParticipant1. Wolves take DeAndre Jordan. Center pickings are getting slightly thin, this came down to Boogie, Ben Wallace, and DeAndre. Magic Johnson needs a pick and roll partner, and this team desperately needs defense. Boogie is the best overall player of the three, and Wallace is easily the best defender, but DeAndre fits the role best as a slightly superior Tyson Chandler-style garbage man.
2. Clippers take Chauncey Billups. Billups might actually be underrated in retrospect, he is 47th all time in win shares/48 and peaked at 15.5, higher than Wade, Nash, Payton, or Drexler ever achieved (though Billups was also healthier). He can spot up off MJ drives and defend.
3. Clippers take Peja Stojakavic. They needed a three who could shoot, eliminating AK-47 and Cedric Maxwell. Kiki Vandeweghe was a similar player and got a long look, but Kiki was an abominable defender and rebounder, whereas Peja was merely below average.
4. Wolves take Eddie Jones, an ideal 3 and D wing who will allow them to switch every assignment along the perimeter. Jones ranks 22nd all time in 3 pointers made and shot them at a 37% clip while making three all-defensive second teams. AK-47, Chet Walker, and Cedric Maxwell were also in the running.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantWolves: Ben Wallace. With Magic, McAdoo and Vinsanity Minny is plenty loaded on offense but they desperately need some defensive intensity on their team. Wallace is one dimensional but he was a dominant anchor in the paint who had better quickness and mobility than someone like Mark Eaton.
Clippers: Take Billy Cunningham. The explosive Hall of Fame SF is still on the board and the Clips scoop him up.
Clippers: The Clips round out their roster with Chauncey Billups. He can share ball handling duties with MJ as well as provide outside shooting and another perimeter defender.
Wolves: The Wolves finish their team with another defender, Eddie Jones. Jones was a good scorer and shooter who could also defend at a high level. Just edges Jamaal Wilkes.

dmo21ParticipantMinnesota’s 1st Pick: Wilkes (good 2 way player at the SF spot)
Clippers’ 1st Pick: Wilkes (Gus Johnson if Wilkes is gone. Look up Gus, this guy was stellar)
Clippers’ 2nd Pick: If SF left, go Wilkes then Johnson. If PG left, go with Michael Ray Richardson (15/7/6/3 career averages plus good defense).
Minnesota’s 2nd Pick: If SF left, go Wilkes then Johnson. If PF/C left, go Johnson then Sikma.
Hope that isn’t too confusing.
