If the NBA comes back this year, I feel Chandler will have made a terrible choice. This sets Denver back some too, assuming Chandler was staying. What is Denver going to do with their SG/SF slots now?

He must feel very confident that the NBA won’t have a season this year…props to him for being the first one to sign in China.

He’s signing for less than what the Nuggets offered him? Wow I really can’t believe that.

This is a good movie if there is no season, but a terrible one if there is a season, he was looking at signing a good contract this off season.

I was a big fan of the new look Denver squad so this is disappointing. It does open up an opportunity for Jordan Hamilton but I would like to see him back in Denver. Makes you wonder if he really needs the money. Why not wait for an offer with an out clause……?

Yes! someone finally joined the asians!

But from a serious point of view, do we have to worry about him getting thrown in a dungeon, only to never be seen again, while he spends the rest of his life locked up eating dumplings and noodles.

its risky because Chandler is on the cusp of being a breakthrough player.  would be different if it was a rookie or someone not getting much burn do to someone else playing in front of them at their position.  it makes Denver’s lineup a little more clearer and as mentioned above its good for Jordan Hamilton.  after China, Chandler can come back and maybe get a good deal with a contender.  It does make you wonder if these guys are having financial troubles though.

If it was for the money, he could have went to Europe and gotten more cash. AND been able to get an opt out clause in his contract so he could leave if the NBA season begins. I think he really just wanted to go to China.

Could it be a move orchestrated by his sneaker producer, which I think is Pony, considering he has a personal sneaker?

    http://www.sneakerobsession.com/20799/pony-ul38-wilson-chandler-home-away-versions/

I’m just thinking about this because it’s pretty weird that he changed Milano, which had  good money to offer with an opt-out clause, for China. So I guess with no star (as no superstar is FA, and players like David West might not take Chandler’s risk to go to China), he would/is/will be the major NBA player to go to China and this should be, or at least thought to be by Pony, a very nice marketing coup to get exposed to the Chinese market. btw do you think Pony gave Chandler money to go to China if they wanted him to be exposed to the market?
