RUDEBOY_ParticipantI dont think there has ever been a more anticipated game this early in the season..Some media outlets are refering it to Ali versus Frazier..
Opening night the Celtics big men Garnett,Shaq and Big Baby abused Heat center Joel Anthony as the Celtics won 88-80..The Celtics home crowd chanted Overrated ..So far this season the Heat have been getting beat downs from opposing big men like Millsaps..Millsaps help lead the Jazz from 22 points down to defeat the Heat..Okafor dominated them inside as help lead the Hornets to a win..
In the 1st game Davis constantly got inside to bull his way to easy baskets…The Miami Herald is reporting Pat Riley have reopened talks with Eric Dampier’s agent about bringing the veteran center in…
Tonite the Heat are at home..After letting that huge lead get away, the Heat should have something to prove tonite..
Who you think wins it?

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m going with the Celtics.
LeBron James and Dwayne Wade both still want to play "hero" basketball in the half-court and that’s exactly what the Celtics want.
I’m expecting Rondo and KG to have big games tonight. The Celtics will pack the paint and hustle out to contest shots on the shooters. I like the Celtics in a close game.

llperezis this game in boston? If so, then i change my pick back to the celtics. Wiz kid brought up a good point, bosh is gonna be mentally weak vs the celtics bigs.

mikeyvthedonParticipantBecause, I just have to. I have analyzed them so much, and saw Boston totally manhandle them in their first game, but with the Heat having a chance to win it. After that embarassing first home loss of the season, I think they come to play. All the big 3 have something to prove, and there is no way Dwyane Wade plays as poorly as he does on opening night. I believe the Heat figure things out sooner than later, and I hope they go on a solid run of wins for a while. I am one of the few people that actually wants this team to succeed, and I see some major road blocks, but I think their is also a great deal to be optimistic about. This would be a big statement game for the Heat, and if the Celtics do indeed go up 2-0 in the season series, I do not think we would hear the end of it. Go Heat (please)!

OhCanada-ParticipantSorry for not believing the hype but I just dont see Miami pulling through and winning this game, at least not this early in the season. They matchup extremely poorly against Boston. Rondo is gonna absolutely torch them with penatration no matter who gaurds him, and if Wade or Lebron gaurds Rajon then you still have Pierce and Allen to account for, and this is without even mentioning the frontcourt. Bosh vs Garnett has always been a very terrible matchup for CB4, as a young player KG was supposed to pass the torch to Bosh, but KG wouldnt give it to him. Its sorta like KG dared him to take it from him but Bosh was always too scared. Ontop of that you have Big Baby, and both Oneals to deal with, Miamis response to all this is Bosh, Haslem and Anthony…
In order to win this game Miami will need
-Bosh to be the most dominant big man on the floor. He will have to be physically active and the "Alpha" big man. Not stats wise, but presence wise.
-Wade and Lebron must be able to coexist on the floor at the same time,it is very crucial they display consistancy throughout the whole game. If these two get to the rim at will and force Bostons frontcourt into foul trouble they could have good success.
-James Jones amnd Eddie House have to be ready to sqaure up and knockdown set jumopshots from the perimeter. Having these 2 open after Wade and Lebron get penetration is very essential to Miamis success.
-Rondo’s penetration has to be limited, do whatever you can to throw him off, some physical play maybe in order although if you play physical be ready because Boston will dish it out.

NYK2010ParticipantAli vs. Frasier give me a break this isn’t even close to that its early November not March.
Media always blows things out of proportion. I think the Heat will win, Shaq is basically done just went to the Celtics becaz they’ll be on T.V. all the time and might get him another ring. Jermaine O’neal can still be a decent rebounder and shot blocker though.
Remember the big game regular season game between the Blazers and Lakers in 2000 that basically decided who would have home court in the playoffs now that was a big game.
I think Miami wins this one, Wade needs to dominate esp. with Ray Allen not being a great defender. Miami needs to rebound and guard the paint. Also be nice if they didn’t take so many jump shots.

IndianaBasketballParticipantAnd to think… I got five negative points in this thread lol. Let’s see…
Good game for Rondo? 8 points and 16 assists. Check.
Good game for KG? 16 points and 13 rebounds. Check
Pack the paint against LeBron and Wade, and contest shooters? LeBron 9-20. 0-5 3-pt. Wade 2-12. 0-5 3-pt. Heat 3-16 3-pt as a team. Check.
