OhCanada-ParticipantThe Milwaukee ownership group has always been committed to building the team with what is in my opinion a short sighted approach that does not result in longterm success. They have always drafted well yet they do not take the time to develop thier players. It seems every offseason they attempt to overpay the best talent available resulting in logjams in the rotation, interrupted team chemistry and development of younger players.
I understand Milwaukee isnt a top destination so they have to overpay a bit and take risks, but timing is everything. Dont just go crazy every offseason hoping you hit a home run. Build a core group then add these decent FA’s to compliment your core after the core is developed.
With one look at the Roster you would think trades are coming. Milwaukee has a great young core with (Group 1) Marshall, Knight, Middleton, Antetokoumpi, Parker, Henson, Sanders. They also have young vets (Group 2) like Mayo, Ilyasova, Pachulia, Bayless, and Delfino all guys who will deserve minutes as well. Then some good cheao role players and 2nd rounders like O’Bryant, Wolters who are both players I think were steals. They also have some decent stashes.
When estimating the rotation if only using (Group 1) and splitting the minutes evenly each player would get 34-mpg. Now im not saying Milwaukee should give those 7 players 34-mpg but why not give Knight, Giannis, Parker, Henson and Sanders those minutes. They all have ridulous upside and seem to be decent fits in interchangable lineups due to thier versatility all around.

IhateusernamesParticipantThey definitely shouldve given Giannis more minutes last year.
Maybe they thought playing him more minutes would lead to more wins which wouldve meant no Jabari.

NeggedAlterEgosAlterEgoQuestion what if the parker or greek at the 4 doesn’t work? what if both play the 3 best who holds more value?
I’m interested to see what the bucks build , they have parts and the will to spend.

ExumInfernoParticipantNo need to talk about the "Milwakuee ownership group has always been…" because that is all over.
New owners, new Jabari Parker, a new and controversial coach, and the new owners are looking for a place to have a new arena.
The problems the Bucks do have is from the big contracts to Sanders, Ilyasova and even Pachulia. They need to get out from some of those, maybe Mayo too if they decide to use Knight a lot more at shooting guard.

Mr. HookShotParticipantI still believe with good coaching, more effort (Sanders) or confidence (Ilyasova), both Sanders and Ilyasova will prove their value. Both bring something to the table that is extremely popular in today’s NBA (Sanders atletic shot-blokking, Ilyasova as typical stretch 4). Question is will Kidd be able to let them perform at a higher level than last year… I sincerely hope so.

Jco4Participant@Negged
Antetokounmpo is extremely versatile, he could start at the 2 in a worst case scenario. Kidd has already hinted he will be looking at playing Giannis as a point guard so the attributes to play a guard spot must be within him.

dawsdabossParticipantwhy would they not want to win? Do they have anything to gain by sucking all the time? Does sucking bring in more revenue? I’m confused…
