Russian player Andrey Desyatnikov is not listed in any of the mock drafts and I have to ask why he is not? This is automatic draft year, so why is he not listed?

He is a 7-4 (in NBA height) center and he is very athletic and is mobile and can move well. He is also a very good finisher and shot blocker.

I do not understand how such a player as him cannot be listed in the mocks. Some of these things here just make so sense.

Have never seen you this passionate about a person outside of Greek origin. What sparked this? See Zenit play lately, why not tell us where you rank him among European prospects in this draft? Where would he be on your Mock Draft, that you refuse to make or show anyone? Seriously, if you have a beef, it is great to have these short little posts of outrage, but if you are not going to give more background or make a list or Mock Draft of your own, it is not the best way to get people on your team.

Though, as always, does not seem to be your intention to sway people to your viewpoint as much as troll like few have trolled before. So, here is where people can at least get some base information on [Player: Andrey Desyatnikov], if European Basketballer wants to give more helpful pointers on him beyond his being mobile for his size, than by all means.

Your reaction proves what I say ic correct. If he was American he for sure would be first round draft pick.

Calling for you to educate people about a prospect rather than antagonize them is proof of…….you lost me. I just want you to put your money where your mouth is. Which, you consistently refuse to do. Again.

If you want to get your point across, than tell us why he should be drafted beyond being tall and mobile (for his size). Is he producing? What is he good at doing? Does he protect the rim at a high level. Most important for a guy over 7’1, can he move laterally? When have you seen him? What provoked this reaction, beyond his being European? I am guessing he must be pretty special for you to endorse someone outside of Greece. I am not asking much, just stating that you have a platform to teach people about these prospects, yet choose instead to go with school yard insults. Well, if that is how you choose to win your battles…..

I am just disappointed that you choose to use this tactic once again. I know you like to evoke a different reaction than disappointment, but I think you well know that most people do not get the same chance to see European prospects as you do. You can blame Mock Drafts for overlooking players, you can blame the NBA, I just think taking it out on people who post here as opposed to giving them perspective is a real let down. If you accuse of xenophobia only to revel in promoting that exact same thing, it just seems the wrong way to bring people around to your point of view.

I talk about all kinds of players here, not just Greek players. I have discussed many players here from Europe (non-Greek), Greek players, and American players.

I mostly talk about players that SHOULD be drafted, but are not, simply because of obviouys bias, due to them not being American. In case of Greek players, that is the strongest bias NBA has towards any nationality.

But I have discussed many players here that are not Greek. You are just mad because I keep pointing out all these examples of players that NBA is purposely ignoring simply due to their nationality.

Think he understands that point… why SHOULD he be drafted though? What makes him a good prospect?

Get some of these awesome euros over for the hoops summit.

Play more games there if needed. Bring more kids over…whats the harm. Theyre all future pros, nike will pay for it.

7’4" would make him the tallest player if i’m not mistaken.

European Basketball said, "the NBA is purposely ignoring simply due to their nationality."

Really? Anyone who believes that statement is delusional. For the most part, I think NBA GMs are pretty bad but they’re under intense pressure to win or possibly be fired. That means anywhere they find a young player who could help them win, he will be drafted.

Then they are extremely incompetent and should be fired anyway.

Whoa Euro Baller is promoting a non-Greek player? This guy must be legit!!!!!

As a Bulgarian-American I don’t see where you get the national bias you claim the NBA has. The NBA player pool is around 33% non-American players, this is I believe the highest it has ever been and only seems to grow every year.

Greek Basket League is 36% non-Greek players and 24% non-European players. Going by these numbers, Greece is just as if not more bias than the U.S.

On a realistic note, I’ve compared the numbers for every basketball league in the world and most are all sitting around 33% players not from their country. Therefore no league is more “racist” or bias than the other. (Except the Asian league which has only around 20% non-Asian players).

P.S. If you want to be politically correct it would be nationalist/nationalism not racist/racism.

The site admin here has even admitted that NBA gms say they have a built in bias against Greek players and believe they are all lazy and won’t work because they believe they come from a lazy beach culture.

The only delusion here is people that can’t see this. Greece has one of the 5 best national teams in the world for the last 30 years, and one of the top 4 national leagues of the world for the last 25 years, yet somehow none of their players except Antetokounmpo (who NBA always referred to as "Nigerian" until he asked them to start calling him Greek) is supposedly good enough for the NBA.

And also Greek Americans like Koufos and Calathes are always said by the NBA to not be Greek and are only called Americans. Koufos was reported as saying he complained about that to the NBA, as to why they won’t consider him Greek, and they told him that he’s not Greek. So they won’t even acknowledge players of Greek descent and play in the Greek national team, saying that playing in NCAA means you automatically lost Greek citzenship as far as the NBA is concerned.

Yet, as an example Lithuanian NBA players like Darius Songaila, Sarunas Jasikevicius, Linas Kleiza, Domantas Sabonis, Robertas Javtokas, and so forth, all played college basketball in the USA, and all of them except Sabonis also played high school basketball in the USA, and NBA only ever referred to any of them or ever called any of them Lithuianan. Never once were they ever called American.

By comparison, Papagiannis some said chose not to play in NCAA because NBA told him he would lose being considered Greek by the NBA if he did so, and would only be called American from then on by the NBA.

If you see nothing strange in this, then kludos to you, because they say that ignorance is bliss.
