If All the PF continue to play at the level they are playing at now? Do the coach’s include Love and Griffin in the discussion even though there teams are very bad? If so Love gets the nod since scoring is the same but love LEADS the NBA in rebounding and as i type he has 21against the thunder. If bad team;s players are not included then that leaves Millsap,Odom,David west,Aldridge

I am assuming yao wont play even if invited since he has legit time constraint issues due to his health. My picks are zach randolph, tim duncan, and kevin love. Tim will probably get the respect vote from coaches. Luis scola and lamar odom both just miss out.

I don’t see either Love or Griffin getting in, though they both are very deserving… Their teams are too bad. IF I had to choose between Love and Griffin getting in though, I’d go with Griffin. As a fan, I’d rather see Griffin in the All-Star game over Love.

Tim Duncan – He’s never missed an All-Star game. The Spurs have the best record in the league. The coaches will show him respect and vote him in.

Paul Millsap – The Jazz are having a great season and Millsap has played a huge role in that. Other than Jazz fans, who thought the Jazz would be this good with the loss of Boozer and Okur being injured?

Lamar Odom – He’s deserving of his first All-Star appearance and I don’t think his numbers will suffer too much when Andrew Bynum returns.

As a fan I’d rather see Griffin as well but love deserves it more

ZBO doesn’t get picked because Memphis isn’t that good so far (8-14)

If Odom numbers don’t suffer to much then The Lakers might be the highest scoring team in history( Bynum will get at the very least 10 and 8 and 20min. Some games Odom will play more and put up good numbers other he will play less and put up less numbers

That leaves Aldridge,West, and Millsap because they all have been playing well and there teams are winning(or close to .500 in Portland’s case

I have to agree with Indiana on this which is a rare occasion.  Milsap is sure to make or either Jefferson but one of those bigs will make it because of the way Utah is playing and they are both playing pretty well and have gotten screwed in the past.  Odom  should make it but Love will make it tough but I think Odom finally gets his only chance at it this year since if Bynum’s stay more healthy that may never happen and when Bryant retires, Odom will probably be just a few year from retiring himself.

No. KG wasn’t left off of the team last season. KG has made ten straight All-Star games and I think he’ll make his 11th straight this season. Tim Duncan isn’t going to be left off of the team. He’s never missed a game.

And I don’t know what makes Kevin Love more deserving over Blake Griffin. Both players’ teams are awful. Love is the better rebounder, but I think Griffin has been better offfensively. They’re about equal in my opinion, which brings it down to who’s more exciting… And we all know who that is.

Love is averaging close to the same amount of points, but he isn’t close to be as efficient as Griffin. And I also think Griffin’s points are going to keep climbing with Kaman about to miss even more time.

I just don’t think either is more deserving than the other. You can make a strong case for each player.

And I remember when Kobe was voted as a starter in 1998, when he didn’t start for his own team. The fans wanted him in because, though he might not have been the most deserving, he was the most exciting. Blake is more exciting than Love and the All-Star game is mostly for the fans.

I rather see Blake but leading the NBA in Rebounding at 15ppg is more deserving. this wouldn’t even be a discussion if Blake wasn’t as exciting or if he was leading the NBA in rebounding. I expect Griffin to have a higher Percentage because he scores closer to the basket for most of his points and doesn’t shoot threes. IF you lead the NBA in Scoring, Rebounding, or Assists and there’s another player close to you in production then that gives you the leg up if y’all are both on horrible teams

nba.com efficiency ratings should never be used. Many people have widely called out there efficiny ratings. Go with the john hollinger one if you want something much more accurate in terms of efficiency.

By efficiency, I was looking at just the field goal percentage. Love doesn’t finish well around the rim at all. He’d be a mid 40’s shooter even if he didn’t shoot three’s.

With all of that He deserves it more then Blake. Of course i rather see Blake for the same reason’s other fans would, because he’s a exciting player. But i have to not let that cloud my judgement when i pick who has the better overall resume and since they are close in the main category of scoring i gotta go with the rebounding especially since Kevin is doing it at a very high rate and leading the NBA.

Everything is included that shows how efficient a player is. Its a pretty accurate account of how Efficient a player is.  Not just one thing. This is the way it should be since Love has been in the league for three years. Blake is the only rookie playing major minutes in the top 40

I just said that by efficiency, I was looking more at field goal percentage, etc. Griffin shoots a higher field goal percentage and averages more points, and that’s without shooting three’s.

And it includes true FG percentage which is better then just regular FG percentage because just going by that it would seem rondo or tony Parker before he had a jump shot, were good shooters (Mid range,close,And three if the player shoots them which Blake doesn’t. Threes is what brings Love’s down. He finishes close to the basket better than people think) What makes it more amazing is he’s not long like a Gasol or great shooter like a Dirk or Athletic like a Blake, He does it will being shorter,slower, and less bounce then the other guy’s)

Love is more efficiant, leading NBA in rebounding. Love can’t help it if Blake can’t shot threes.

Plain and Simple Love’s overall body of work is better than Griffin. Being able to Shoot three’s is a plus not a hindrance

not sure if duncan deserves it, but he is playing on the best team in the league and as one of the true greats currently in the game, coaches will probably reward him with a spot. And i think they should.

I’m not spasming, but my head could not be shaking any more violently. 18-3 this year, focal point of everything San Antonio does, plus that little matter of four rings. Here is what they do, they get the lead against crummy teams, and they sit him down. He is 34 years old, he doesn’t need to pack on meaningless stats against the Warriors, Timberwolves, or Clippers. The Spurs play winning basketball, they plan 8 or 9 month season not five and a half.
