Memphis MadnessParticipantPat Riley better start scouting.
I wonder who the Heat will take with the top pick in next year’s draft?
It is protected isn’t it?
That Jahlil Okafor kid is pretty big.
Myles Turner has potential.
Sam Dekker is 6’9!!!!!

Memphis MadnessParticipantThey might try to rebuild around D Wade, Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, and Rasual Butler.

SwatLakeCityParticipantLet’s hold off on the Heat getting the top pick for now. Yeah, Lebron signed with the Cavs, and Bosh will likely sign with Houston, which means Miami won’t be the same team next year. They probably won’t make the playoffs, but I don’t think they would suck right off the bat. They currently have 4 players on their roster, that leaves a lot of cap space now that Bosh and Lebron are both pretty much out of the picture. Bosh and Lebron might have already chosen their teams, but there are still some big name free agents out there. Maybe Riley will lure one of them to the Heat. Deng wants close to max money, now that Lebron is with the Cavs and Bosh likely a Rocket, the Heat have the cap space to sign Deng to the contract he wants. Wade will likley re-sign with the Heat because of stability. So a starting lineup of Napier, Wade, Deng, McRoberts and ??? probably won’t get them to the playoffs, but I don’t think that roster would mean they would have the worst record. And lets not forget that the worst record doesn’t always mean you get the first pick. There’s a 75% chance that you don’t land the first pick if you have the worst record. So let’s hold off on the Heat getting the top pick in the 2015 draft for now, at least until their roster for the coming season is finalized.
