valentineThe Best Possibility
Blake Griffin – Probably averaging like 24 and 12, with his improved jump shot, may be the premier power forward of the league.
Ricky Rubio – Makes him 23 and is one of the best point guards on both ends of the floor. could average 13 points 5 rebounds 8 assists 2 steals.
Brandon Jennings – Maybe one of the best scoring point guards at this time, with his more refined tools, and a more experienced player at this point. He and Rubio will be one of the top 5 point guards in the league.
James Harden – At this point Harden maybe close to a Brandon Roy type player, an efficient player that could average nearly 18 points 6 rebounds 5 assists.
Hasheem Thabeet – The best shot-blocking player at this point, could maybe average like 3 blocks a game, and an improved offensive player at this point.
Jordan Hill – A regular double-double guy, a nice roll player, with good shooting stroke averages of 18 and 10 is a possibility.
Stephen Curry – Definitely one of the best shooters in the league an this time, has joined the 3 point shootout at least twice. Averaging at least 15 points a game.
Jrue Holiday – A good combo guard in the league ala Rodney Stuckey, averages of 15 5 and 5.
DeMar DeRoan – One of the fan favorites in the league, a high flyer with a much improved shooting stroke, and ball handling ability. At best 20 5 and 3.
Johnny Flynn – The leader of his team, a steady point guard, averages of 16 4 and 8.
Tyreke Evans – One of the best scorers in the league, with a lot of shake and bake moves, one of the most exciting players in the league.
The Worst
Blake Griffin – A regular double-double guy, averages of 16 and 10.
Ricky Rubio – A back-up point guard, game didn’t translate to the NBA.
Brandon Jennings – Could be a bust with attitude problems, might go back to Europe.
James Harden – A typical shooting guard averages of 12, 3, and 3.
Hasheem Thabeet – No improvement on the offensive end. The Birdman?
Jordan Hill – May be an energy guy of the bench, a Ronny Turiaf?
Stephen Curry – An Eddie House-type player?
Jrue Holiday – May not reach his potential at this point and may be a NBA journey man.
DeMar DeRoan – Gerald Green?
Johnny Flynn – A regular back-up point guard
Tyreke Evans – May not play that much, because of his style of play.

deshawynkeys91Participanti think that some of your BEST CASE situations are a little unrealistic…
b.griffin at best will be a 18pts/ 9rebs
j. hill will never be a 18pts /10reb guy in the league (thats almost t. duncan like numbers!!)

sayanythingParticipantWhoahhh, deshawynkeys91, Blake Griffin maxing out at 18 and 9? What’s that about man? Zach Randolph has topped out at 23ppg one season and 12rpg one season… you’re telling me Blake Griffins potential is that much lower than Zach Randolph’s? I see Blake Griffin being right around what he said, people are this high on Blake for a reason. No one’s saying he’s ACTUALLY going to reach that, it’s just a ceiling. I think that it’s pretty acurate, no one thinks Blake’s ceiling is a 18 and 9 guy, that seems kinda modest.

Deedsyes absolutely right, Randolph who is far less talented than Griffin averaged 23 and 12. Griffin who has the talent and the work ethic can easily average at least a 18 and 9.

HueBoND 2001ParticipantYour forgetting about two talents that will handle the bulk of the scoring AL THORNTON and ERIC GORDON no one seems to mention those two.. I think the clippers should actually take a look at trading baron davis to bring in jennings this would make alot of sense. Maybe even try to pry away Anthony randolph lamar odom with more hops
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/10/2009 - 3:43am #159721
DeedsTrading Baron Davis then bringing in Jennings? what is this play station? are u kidding me? Jennings can be a good player, but he can’t make an impact in the league right away. Davis is a proven winner when he’s healthy and he can be a good influence to Griffin.

HueBoND 2001ParticipantAre u crazy there not makin a championship run once blake gets in the line up..I really think they need to change coaching…

Deedsno way that griffin will be a 18 / 9 are you stupid? Hill is a 18 / 10 at best.

sheltwon3ParticipantI like your Griffin stats but some of your worst case scenarios are unreal because some of these guys worst case scenario would still be decent players and you downplayed some of the best case scenarios for this players except Griffin and Hill.

DeedsThanks!, On the worst case scenarios, yeah may be. But on I think i did just right in the best case scenarios.

docholliday06Participant15pts 8assits 3 rebounds at best……if the kings draft him i think he could be one of the best pg in the league in a couple of years………he reminds me of allen iverson
0- Posted on: Tue, 06/09/2009 - 6:35pm #159647
Deedsyeah, he’ll be one of the best point guards in the league, but i think he’ll get better numbers than 15 8 and 3.

velazquezParticipantAlmost everyone in this draft will fade away into obscurity. Busts are inevitable. You will be lucky to get 5 above average players out of this draft. I won’t name names, but statistically that is bound to happen.
“Almost everyone” doesn’t mean everyone.
My bust predictions (after rookie contracts expire, will not have made any impact):
Brandon Jennings
Thabeet
BJ Mullens (guaranteed garbage)
Chase Bud.
D. Blair (Robert “Tractor” Traylor 2.0)
Tyreke Evans
Austin Daye (guaranteed to fail)
Terrence Williams0- Posted on: Tue, 06/09/2009 - 9:44pm #159693
DeedsTheir all unproven players with talent, but I think Blair is the safest of the list to succeed in the NBA as a role player, because of his hard work and thoughness.

j1232eParticipanthates the karl mailman comparisons! but griffin is going to be a legend.
0- Posted on: Tue, 06/09/2009 - 9:59pm #159697
DeedsYeah, he’s like an Antonio McDyess in a Karl Malone body.

butidonthavemoneyThey do have similarities in their games but it is unfair to compare Griffen to Malone.
Remember when NBADraft.net compared DeShawn Steveson to Michael Jordan? Yeah…
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/10/2009 - 3:40am #159720
DeedsYeah, he’s more of an Antonio McDyess type with more strength and a strong work ethic.

HueBoND 2001ParticipantThe Best Possibility
Blake Griffin – Probably averaging like 18 and 9, great physical specimen could have amare numbers but is surrounded by talent in clipper land will be a top 5 pf within 5 years but we never know who else may pop up . D. Favors not as athletic but polished Tim Duncan
Ricky Rubio – Makes him 23 and is one of the best point guards on both ends of the floor. could average 13 points 5 rebounds 8 assists 2 steals. AGREED
Brandon Jennings – Maybe one of the best scoring point guards at this time, with his more refined tools, and a more experienced player at this point. He and Rubio will be one of the top 15 point guards in the league. A skinny Baron Davis..Better prospect than telfair because of size and athleticism
MUTOMBO 09
Good spark of thebench for a long time to come. May start a couple due to all the hype
Jrue Holiday – A good combo guard in the league ala Rodney Stuckey, averages of 15 5 and 5.
DeMar DeRoan – One of the fan favorites in the league, a high flyer with a much improved shooting stroke, and ball handling ability. At best 19.5 and 8
Johnny Flynn – The leader of his team, a steady point guard, averages of 16 4 and 8.
Tyreke Evans – One of the best scorers in the league, with a lot of shake and bake moves, one of the most exciting players in the league. John Salmons with a higher release and less athleticsm
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/10/2009 - 3:01pm #160314
DeedsYeah nice, but i see higher numbers for Griffin because of his talent and work ethic.

Lodzio20ParticipantJonny Flynn- 18 ppg, 4 rpg, 8.5 apg
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/10/2009 - 6:13am #159757
mb6297I’m going to go with DeMar DeRozan because he has the most potential and this is likely to be a relatively weaker draft.
I can see DeRozan becoming slighting better than Josh Howard.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/10/2009 - 6:14am #159760

knicksfreakParticipantGriffin averaging 24 and 12? Very unlikely. Zach Randolph is a team killer but he’s a ballhog and he can shoot. Maybe his very best season could be 21 and 11.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/10/2009 - 6:21am #159765
jmr2121ParticipantWow, jordan hill is a roll-player averaging 18-10. if that is what goes down, then your other star players are putting up some incredible numbers and you better be winning some games. I think Terrence Williams and Harden will have good careers averaging 18-6-6 .
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/10/2009 - 3:04pm #160317
Deeds18 and 10 aren’t star player numbers. Its possible for a roll player at best.
