ChewyParticipantBogut when healthy is a much more solid center with more rebounds and near the top if the league in blocks.
Noah is loved by coaches and hated by players for his motor. If he puts up double-double numbers he could take a spot.
Horford probably should be a PF but the Hawks love playing him at C and Smith at PF.
I’d take all 3 over Lopez

iguapops420ParticipantBynum out west. Legit center, Mike Brown has said he’s going to be a focal point of the offense. I’d guess 17-10-2. The East, I’d probably go with Luol Deng. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, the guy is underrated and plays more of a 2nd option role on the team more than anyone. His 2-way play is finally going to be recognized. Especially if Boozer comes up with another early season injury.

ChewyParticipantLuol Deng can be a 2nd option for a bad team, but for a team that wants to compete for an Eastern Conference Ship he needs to be the 3rd option behind Boozer. Thing is I’m trying to keep faith that Boozer can be that 2nd guy but it’s getting harder to believe that. Deng had a big year last year because 1. I think Tibs lit a fire under him on the defensive end and 2. he FINALLY was healthy again. For the first time since he signed that huge contract.

WinterSoldierParticipantI can see John Wall in the East, and Lamarcus Aldridge in the West. Some darkhorse canidates Joakim Noah, Danilo Gallinari, Andrew Bogut, Monte Ellis, Josh Smith, Andrew Bynum.

ChewyParticipantWest: Rudy Gay if the Griz can continue their winning ways from the end of last season. He guna put up atleast 18-20.
East: Have to agree w/ Jazz82 and say Josh Smith
Wall= would love to see him in the game but it will be hard to beat one or two out of D Will, Rose, Rondo

IndianaBasketballParticipantIF I had to pick just two from each conference…
West
Lamarcus Aldridge – He’s on to something. Something clicked in his head last season, especially the second half. I’m expecting a HUGE season from him.
East
Andrew Bogut – He’s struggled with injuries in the past, but I think he stays healthy this season and makes his first all-star game.

TyroberParticipantLaMarcus Aldridge HAS to be on it. Ridiculous he didn’t make it this year. Josh Smith could be on it every year but he is too inconsitent so I am going to say John Wall

Scottoant93ParticipantI going on a limb and saying
East- Andrea Bargnani-IF and ONLY BIG IF he gets he rebounds to around 8-9 range. Noah and Bogut are usually injured so he east center is usually for the taking every year, despite actual talent. If Casey can mask his flaws like he said dallas did with dirk, i think he can make it(Not easy considering Dallas had a bunch of good players while raps have scrubs)
West Danilo Gallinari- George Karl seems to want him to be the star of the team, and with chandler,jr smith, and nene on or possibly on their way out, it gives him the perfect opportunity to take on that leadership role.. weather he suceeds or not yet to be determined. but either he showed us last year he is more then just a spot up shooter.

aamir543ParticipantI think John Wall will be an All-Star and will solidify himself as an elite point guard in this league. In his first yearas a 19 year old TEEN, with growth pains, a bad team, and injuries, he still got 16 and 8. Now he has a Jumpshot, is getting even faster in the open court, is probably Kobe’s height, and will probably get stronger as he gets older. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 23 and 11 season from him as soon as the season starts.
And I know this may seem a bit absurd, but if the Wiz have the chance to draft an elite point in the draft like Kendall Marshall, or Austin Rivers, then do you think that they should consider moving Wall to the off guard, and turn him into more of a scorer, or keep him on the ball. And if Vesely can be a legit starter, AND they can draft Harrison Barnes, than you would have a 6-6 point, a 6-8 2-guard, a 6-11 small foward with freakish athletisicm, a 6-10 PF that can get boards and score a bit, and a 7 foot beast in McGee. How athletic would that team be? Plus you would have Nick Young(Overated chucker, but stil a nice talent) off the bench. The Wizards are headed in the right direction.

Wavy BagelsParticipantWest
Stephen Curry – Now that D-Will is on the east and the fact that Monta might get traded leaves the backup PG at the star game empty behind Chris Paul.
East
3 way tie between Joakim Noah/Brook Lopez/Andrew Bogut – Depends on who has the better season, of course. That second center position in the East is dying to be filled by one of the three.

Was Russell Westbrook traded to the East too and did Steve Nash/Tony Parker retire?

Wavy BagelsParticipantWow I totally forgot about those guys. Yikes!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 09/25/2011 - 12:53pm #601377

iguapops420ParticipantNo, I don’t think John Wall needs to play the off-guard. Whether he is tall enough or not. He just doesn’t have the natural scorer’s instinct. Someone mentioned him playing like Wade in another thread. I see it, but I see him being a guy who attacks like Wade, but has a pass-first mindset. had he been developed at a younger age to become a score first point, perhaps, but imo, the Wizards have apretty good team developing with Wall and Crawford/Young in the backcourt. IMO, all the Wiz are missing is a veteran backup 1 and 5. This team has potential to develop into the Thunder of the East.
BTW, I forgot about Wall, I’d honestly have to say that if he has his team anywhere near 50% by ASG, he will have a STRONG chance of making the team.
