Rip255Nice draft pick by the Lakers in 2011. In my hometown this guy is more known for skipping town after stealing money from his team-mate’s wallets than showing NBA potential.
I wonder how much the scout for the Lakers was paid at that time, as it was too much!

JoeWolf1I’ve got Oakland’s Travis Bader, the NCAA’s all time leading 3 point scorer going to SA at 60. EXTREME long shot, but at 60… why not?

morestealsthanscoresParticipantJoeWolf1 it’s unlikely, but i don’t think it’s that much of a long shot. He has a definable NBA skill. Loads of guys in the 2nd round have been successes just through the fact they could hit the 3.

qDizzle32ParticipantChu Chu averaged 0.7 ppg in like 4 D-League games and still somehow got drafted. Doubt this would happen but if a team does make a Chu Chu like pick this year, I think it would be a very happy/emotional moment if a team in the late 2nd drafts Isaiah Austin to be nice to him kinda saying he did make it to the league after all, even though his career is over.

RUDEBOY_Participanti read that the commish adam silver has invited isaiah austin to the draft as his special guest..not sure what his role will be..but it’ll be so cool if austin announced the 2nd round…

barbabodomParticipantBruno Caboclo is 19 yo 6’9 SF from Brazil with Durant´s physique but very very raw. There has been a talk in brazilian media that he has been promised to be selected in the late 2nd round, probably by either Spurs or Pacers.

Memphis MadnessParticipantGuys we have heard about who sneak into the second round or total unknowns?
I like guys like Scottie Wilbekin, Joe Jackson, Geron Johnson, Will Sheehey, Luke Hancock, and Niels Giffey but those guys are relatively household names among college hoops junkies.
I still like Aaron Craft, but wasn’t he basically the only white guy in college that most people have heard of (ok, co-MVP with Doug McDermott).
I am looking at guys I have heard of that are seniors and kind of obscure to non-hoops junkies. Jordair Jett anyone?
Tarik Black, Marshall Henderson, and Chane Behanen might not be obscure but their draft stock is not really on the map anymore.
I like UConn’s Niels Giffey as a shooter with good size and length. Solid rebounding and hops who could play the stretch four off the bench for the Spurs (58 or 60). Maybe he could even play some 3 behind Kawhi Leonard. He might end up being the German Robert Horry in this draft.
The Memphis Grizzlies brought in a few guys again for one last workout. A first timer for the Griz is Viktor Gaddefors out of Sweden. Supposedly he is a 6’8 small forward who is efficient around the rim and a good athlete.
Viktor Gaddefors is my mystery guy for the 2014 draft.

qDizzle32ParticipantI don’t think really anybody had Arsalan Kazemi and Romero Osby in their mocks last year. Also still pretty surprised that CJ Leslie and Myck Kabongo didn’t get picked, even though neither of them were outstanding in the D-League. This second round is just too unpredictable due to all of the players who get traded, the International players who stay overseas and how teams just go for a needed position over the best player available. I’ll actually be surprised if I get more than one second round pick correct in my mock.

RUDEBOY_Participantchristiano felicio-he’s raw offensively, but defends well ,plays physical and he’s a pretty good athlete…there are some concerns about the level of competition he played in…..
taylor braun-a 6’6 sg/sf from north dakota st..a poor man’s nik staukas…he’s a very good shooter, can also play some point guard he can put the ball on the deck..he has been impressive in workouts..

MadDogParticipantBig Sim Bhullar! Size of Yao, 60lbs heavier than a prime Shaq and moves like he’s walking through cement. I can imagine a team gambling on him having a supersized kendrick perkins impact in the very late 2nd round pick.
