Teams that win the NBA title have consistently been the best or one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the league. The numbers say and even verse top notch competition, that Jordan Hill is the best offensive rebounder in this draft. I think if he is the offensive rebounder in the NBA he was in college taking him that early won’t be a mistake. If he does not offensive rebound like he did in college he could be a major bust. What are your thoughts, knowing how important offensive rebounding is on Jordan Hill?

Blake is the best rebounder the numbers say he does not offensive rebound as well as Hill Kevindurantrocks. I don’t think Hill is I said the numbers show that. The question is those numbers why Hill is considered such a high pick?I would agree with Blake being the best rebounder. I like Blair too as the best offensive rebounder in this draft.

I say Griffin because he is a little bit stronger and played against more big man that are strong and could give him a problem in the hole.

Nobody in college rebounds offensively or defensively better than Blake Griffin. I would already say that there are only a hand full of guys in the league who rebound better than he does

Griffin had one game in which he grabbed 8 offensive rebounds or more. His highest was 8. Hill grabbed 8 offensive rebounds or more about 5 times. One time he had 11. I would take Blake as the better overall rebounder any day, but teams must like Hills chances of offensive rebounding like that or he would not be slated so high. I will be honest I am not too impressed with Hill outside of those offensive rebound numbers. I think he is getting drafted too soon, but something must have caused teams to like him so much. I am saying maybe it is the Offensive rebounding and how it results in wins when you dominate there.

DeJuan Blair is the best college offensive rebounder since Millsap. Blake Griffen will probably be a better offensive rebounder in the NBA than either Millsap or Blair.

That while I agree Griffin is who you have to put due to the fact that he will get opportunities and his combo of size, athleticism and natural ability, that Blair is who I would consider the best straight up rebounder in the draft. DeJuan Blair just is such a space eater, and he has great instincts, and I see him being a guy who can average maybe 2.5-3 offensive rebounds a game if given time (for those that know NBA statistics, that is quite a few). While he is not as big as Kevin Love, I think he is quicker and the fact that he put up the rebounding numbers he did in the Big East straight up impresses me. He is tenacious on the glass and has a fantastic nose for the ball and very nice hands. I believe I pointed this out in an earlier post before, but Blake Griffin averaging his 14.4 rebounds per game in the Big 12 shows me the kid can rebound, but I am not thinking that number translates to him being near that kind of rebounder in the NBA. Michael Beasley lead the nation in rebounding the year before at Kansas State and Kevin Durant racked up 11.5 boards per game at Texas. Now, Blake had better rebounding numbers than both of those guys, and will play a post position in the league due to his size and strength, but I am much more impressed by Blairs numbers in a physical and talented Big East conference than those of Griffins in the starved for size Big 12. I want to see what Keith Gallon does next year, because that dude is gigantic and I bet he might come close to Blake’s freshman year rebounding totals.
