pistonsmanParticipantWhat are you talking about Stuckey can’t hit jumpers (watch him) You don’t put up 27 without hitting jumpers. Larry Hughes could be but he is running out of time if he wants to be in that talk.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantQuick question. Is combo guard only PG/SG typer players or does it also include SG/SF?

The8thDeadlySinParticipantOk. Thanks. Ummm, Does Westbrook count??? I think they slide him over when Ollie is in. Other guys are/were Nate Robinson and Allen Iverson.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantHe really is but he is showing that he is trying to be a playmaker. I think he needs about 3 more games and he will still be one of the best players under 6’1.

BasketBalAllanParticipantThese are all guys that I think have the ability to play their main position, but also have the ability to slide over to the other guard position for large parts of games and still be effective.
Currently:
1. Wade (P.S. I thought Wade had almost an entire season as Miamis PG, before they drafted Chalmers… I could be wrong.)
2. Monta Ellis
3. Tyreke Evans
4. Allen Iverson
5. Westbrook
6. Devin Harris
7. Mo Williams
8. Louis Williams
9. Stephen Curry0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/10/2009 - 8:33am #237155

llperezwade played pg his rookie year with Eddie Jones at sg, but he has not played pg since. So I don’t think he counts. I think Monta Ellis and Rodney Stuckey are two of the best

festar35ParticipantDwyane Wade.
There have been talks about him moving back to the point next year.

quincey hodgesstucky doesnt hit jumpers consistantly pistons man. and evans has played alot more sg then pg now..they start the euro as the point guard now. and wade is gonna stick at sg. they like chamlmers at the pg. wade may play some spot pg sometimes but he is there sg

NYK2010ParticipantStuckey is a slasher not a jump shooter.

foxman2slyParticipantWatch the heat – Wade moves to the point all the time -he avgs 6 assists – Chalmers is a combo also and often plays off the ball spotting up at the arc- Wade play pg w/ Jones or Cook all the time.
It isn’t even close – let’s look at your list
Rodney Stuckey-poor mans Wade
Tyreke Evans- give him 3 years
Will Bynum-reserve
Daniel Gibson-LMAO – did you go to his High School?
Stephen Curry-give him 3 years but his lack of explosiveness will always hamper him-Ellis is much betterOnly Stuckey and Evans are even considerations and aren’t in D-WADES league!!!! (Evans is going to be soooo good but it’s too early).
Monta Ellis is a beast and is probably #2- just like BasketBalAlan’s list
BTW – Brandon Roy honorable mention -Blake spots up while Roy handle the rock- or even Kobe – Fisher sits at the arc while Kobe plays point, but Kobe and Roy play a lot of SF too.

quincey hodgeswade doesnt move to the point all the time( i also watch the heat)..having the ball in youre hand doesn’t mean you have moved to the point. if thats the case lebron granger joe johnson and kobe are also combo guards. chalmers plays the pg whenever hes in the game. even when chris quinn was playing chamlers would still be at the pg. but wade is a combo guard.because he has played and shows the ability to play the pg. i think some peopel are forgetting what a combo is. its a guard who can play both positions and has played both pretty well. they dont have to play either great but at least be average at either. offense and defense by the way
