Alright so D-wade and Kobe are on a totally different level than the rest of the SG’s in the league….so who do you guys think is the 3rd best SG in the league?

I’d say the main candidates are: Kevin Martin, Monta Ellis, or Manu Ginobli….(Brandon Roy is plagued with a BAD injury), (I would include Joe Johnson but he didn’t have that great a year, especially in the playoffs)

My pick is Monta Ellis: He had a great scoring year and should have been an all star this year but there weren’t enough spots

^^ talent wise harden might be, but he wont be considered top 3 playing behind durant and westbrook

Ginobli. Not sure why so many people think Joe Johnson is so good. He’s good, but he doesn’t play great d. Takes a lot of bad shots. Tends to disappear in playoff games.

I might take Eric Gordon he was hurt this year but he is on the rise we know he can score and he plays better defense then any of the other candidates.

Matt Bonner should have been an allstar too…but there just weren’t enough spots.

Currently, I have to say Ginobili is the 3rd best SG in the game.

Montae without a doubt. Manu would be but injuries kill that for me. James Harden is on the rise  he should be. Others in no particular order: Joe Johnson, K. Martin, and Tyreke Evans has got to be mentioned… The 2 position is changing the NBA game is becoming International…. It is great to see talented Lead Gaurds with the 2 man just spotting up… Not all but most of the league is following this trend. Lastly I forgot about Roy, I hope he can get healthy cause he is clutch. Nice Post!

Maybe in a few years Landry Fields could be in the conversation but right now I’d have to go with Monta Eliss

I have a very very hard time seeing Landry Fields as the 3rd best SG in the league at any point, especially in a Knicks uniform.  He’s a nice player and could become steady starter material, but even in a position as weak as SG is in the NBA currently, he will never be top 3.

Iguodala, if you consider him a SF.. then I’m going with Joe Johnson

Man I don’t mind copping nedatives for a post, but for suggesting that Ray Allen is still in the conversation for third best SG right now!? He still wins games with his own shot, yeah he’s got the cast around him but defences are still aware of his presence. I’m not saying he is but he’s still there abouts and you don’t see too many contenders chasing Monte Ellis and Kecin Martin.
