xbadgerhustlerParticipantThose with the most to lose are projected lottery picks like wall, cousins, turner, etc.
To me, the person with the most to gain is greg monroe. he should be top 5 in my opinion, but isn’t there yet.

quinceyhodgesi agree.. those projected as high draft picks have the most to lose. borderline 1st rounders also have alot to lose. the most to gain is anyone who isnt on the nba’s radar. to be honest i think vasque has alot to gain part of me says that because im a maryland fan but another part says it because its true. he has moved up to a possible first rounder with his play. and if they beat duke tommorrow and he has a good game that will ook very nice on his resume. he already will get his number retired

JNixonParticipantThis is a broad question man.
But I’ll say that with a great tourny stretch approaching, we’ll see the real Derrick Favors more so than at any other part of the season. Georgia Tech has had a rough season so far, with Coach Hewitt getting eaten alive here by the ATL media about his constant underachievement and the fact that this is the most talented team up and down the roster since he’s been at GT (yes, including the National title runner-up 2004 team. Favors could have a big effect on if Georgia Tech makes the tourny at all (trust me, they’re not far removed for the NIT) and if he doesn’t make it, he won’t have the opportunity to build his stock like most other prospects who are playing in the toruny will.

quinceyhodgesso you dont think the favors we have seen for 20 plus games isnt the real favors?..the one we will see in about 4 games is the real favors?. is the jennings at the first part of the season the real jennings if he had less games of good play? i think we have seen the real favors but i do think he could raise his stock with good play. im not sure how much though because hes already gonna be a top 5 pick because of his potential

DanEboyParticipantEbanks could use a big tourney to improve his stock.
Other guys that I think could improve their stock with good tourneys:
Sherron Collins
Scottie Reynolds
Xavier Henry
Greivis Vasquez
Gordon Hayward
DaSean ButlerWe saw how Tyrus, Flynn, and Curry’s stock rose from a great tournament. I think these guys could do the same

quinceyhodgesi actually like ebanks more then i did earlier. the more i watch him the more i can see the potential some people were talking about. i still dont think hes gonna be a allstar talent or close to it but i think he can be a pretty good pro at his best

DanEboyParticipantI think he can be an elite defender in the NBA with better then average rebounding skills. I question his offense though.

quinceyhodgesi can see that dan

M-DYMESParticipantI think Vasquez from Maryland can gain alot if he gets Maryland deep into the tourney. He is a very good scorer and has potential to be a pretty good NBA player.

JNixonParticipantWhat I mean by the real Favors is will we see a player with fire in his stomach because he could be fighting for a chance to show his stuff on a national stage if he plays well and helps GA Tech play well for the tourny stretch. He’s going to have to play like how he did against Maryland instead of how he played against FSU. So to answer your question, no. I don’t think we’ve seen the real Derrick Favors. He and GT’s guards hasn’t been consistent enough to have a truly great read on what he can do.

quinceyhodgesithink we have seen what he can do. hes a pretty good rebounder but raw on offense. he needs guards to set him up in order to score. has a hard time creating his offense. there are alot of teams with worst guards then him that have big men who are better scores because they can make a couple of post moves or put it on the floor. alot of people just cant accept that he is raw on offense and still learning. and gt is gonna go with the more sure thing which is gani down low on offense because he gives them the best chance to score down low.

JNixonParticipantGA Tech goes to whoever the guards can get the ball to. lol. Whoever they can get the ball to, or whoever gets the offensive rebound off of one of the perimeter guys misses. Lawal is the better scorer, but both of those guys could use the opportunity to play in the tourny so they can be fresh in the minds of scouts and possibly enhance their stock.
The same stuff (playing well in the tournys so they can enhance stock) can be said about of lot of guys, this is why this topic is so broad. There is no wrong answer.

quinceyhodgesi agree theres no wrong answer im just saying we have seen the real favors. in order for him to score more he would need plays run for him like cp3 did for chandler. pick and oops. he doesnt have offensive abilities like a cousins who you can just throw it down to and clear out while he does some post moves. in the future i think he will be able to but right now he cant do that. more times then not when he gets that chance he turns it over. either by travelling or teams know he cant handle double teams so they send 2 at him. gani is a guy i ment to add as a guy who could really help his stock. favors is in a good position where no matter what he does hes pretty much assured as a top 5 pick because of his potential
