OldSkoolBasketballParticipantThis was so much easier yesterday but after what happen to Ware its hard to root against Louisville, but at the same time I want to see the cinderella in the finals.

Chilbert arenasParticipantLouisville, I know this is a very unpopular stance, but I hate cinderellas after the sweet 16. It gives people who don’t watch basketball all year a chance to jump on to some bandwagon for some school they’ve never heard of. I want to see future lotto picks in the final four. That being said, Louisville doesn’t have any future lotto picks this year and destorys my arument, but I at least have familiarity with their team and have been watching a few of them since their mcdonalds all american days.

Stevenim going with ville as well. HOWEVER, in my perfect world i would lke to see them lose in the championship… and can we get a good game already. so far the best game of the tourney was the Michigan/Kansas by far. otherwise i dont think this was all that good of a tournament. what do you guys think?

Ghost01ParticipantI want Wichita St.
First off, I usually agree with the cinderella thing but Wichita is legitimately good. I really don’t see anything that would make Louisville playing in the ship more interesting. Its not like they are stock piled with NBA talent or anything.
Secondly, yes Ware broke his leg. Yes, the Louisville players and coaches cried and showed emotion so now people want to root for them. But they are still LOUISVILLE I’m not gonna start rooting for a team and a coach I can’t stand because some guy got hurt. And (here comes the part that will get me negged because opinions are not allowed) it was a little over dramatic. Yes that is a gruesome gruesome gruesome injury, but c’mon? Crying? Its not like he has a heart condition and passed out on the court or something. Its a leg injury…it will be repaired and he will live a long healthy life.

Ghost01ParticipantOkay, after further review, since from the TV i was watching it on was at a bar and I didn’t see enough replays, I am okay with the crying seeing as his shin bone was sticking out in mid air. That is pretty dayum fccuked up, don’t think crying would have necessarily been my reaction, probably just more shocked than anything, but okay.
Still, good thing it was a LEG injury, and not something that could severely damage his health long term.

Malik-UniversalParticipant^it was a little over dramatic??? okay how about u play with a guy since the beginning of the summer.. been thru all the grueling summer workouts… practices… games… and a game away from a final 4…and in front of ten of thousands of people… he goes to contest a shot and your teammates leg breaks in half… and u see the bone sticking out… possibly ending a career… who knows…

capecodderParticipantHard to root for a Pitino coached team

machu46ParticipantPraying for Wichita State to pull it off. I honestly think Louisville’s style of basketball is ruining the sport this year. I’ve never seen a team foul as much as they do, but by the end of the game, they almost always have fewer fouls than their opponent.
If you go back and watch any of their games over the past month or so, you can literally pick out 4 or 5 fouls on every single possession. Their defense handchecks the shit out of the other team and once a shot goes up, you can see them all grab onto their man’s jersey or their arms so that they can’t extend their arms to get rebounds.

BasketballJunkie224Participanti want wichita state to win. its horrible what happened to ware and lets pray for him but i really hate l’ville. they are like the spurs of college bball (not style of play) but in the sense that they are just so boring to watch. I do not enjoy watching them play the least bit. with the exception of blackshear, everyone on that team annoys the hell out of me.

Ghost01ParticipantSo in agreement with Bball Junkie. Like yeah, it sucks that happened, it was one of the craziest injuries ever. He’s only gonna be out 8-12 weeks, he has no serious health risks, and he’ll play another day.
Louisville and Pitino on the other hand is an entirely different story. I’m not going to 180 on them because somebody got hurt.

R-Dot-13ParticipantWell, it is awful about what happened to Ware, and was great to see how the team rallied around him and played for him. But I have to say I’m cheering for Wichita. It’s just so great to see an underdog team get this far, and would be a great story if they made the finals or even won. Atleast that’s the way I think of it, I love watching the underdogs win. I don’t dislike Louisville though like many others, and I do think they will win the tournament, and it is hard for me to root against them after what happened, but I have to say that I would love to see Wichita. That being said, if Louisville does win I can’t say I’ll be upset, as it would be great for them as a team to win after something like that, but I will be cheering for the underdog in this one.
