high floorParticipantI was having so much trouble with this. I feel the top 5 for all the other positions are easier to rank, but Center?? In no particular order I came up with:
- Demarcus Cousins
- Marc Gasol
- DeAndre Jordan
- Dwight Howard
- Al Horford
The most difficult for me to leave off were:
Joakim Noah (1st Team All-NBA in 2014, but noticeably worse last year from injuries).
Andre Drummond (Top 10 for sure, but for a guy with a defensive reputation he got scored on a bunch).
Rudy Gobert (Could have a DeAndre Jordan like season this year, thus making his jump to the top 5 very possible)
Nikola Vucevic (Top 5 Offensively, Bottom 5 Defensively)
Brook Lopez (He was phenomonal after the AS break last year, major health concerns may have unfairly tainted my ranking a bit)

cozmojimParticipantDuncan will be playing center for San Antonio. You’ve got to throw the old man in the mix.

FrozetoesParticipant1. Anthony Davis, I know he’s a PF, but he can play center.
2. Marc Gasol, he’s the best pure CT.
3. Demarcus Cousins, another guy who’s half CT/PF.
4. DeAndre Jordan, a game changer on D.
5. Andre Drummond, his potential beats out Howard, plus I’m not a DH fan.
These days so many guys are hybrids, pinning them to a position doesn’t work.

TRC1991ParticipantDavis starts at the 4 for New Orleans, so he’s excluded
1) DeMarcus Cousins
2) Marc Gasol
3) DeAndre Jordan
4) Tim Duncan
5) Dwight Howard

PulseGlazerParticipantTyson Chandler isn’t top 5 anymore, but he is HUGE for winning and belongs on the list. Every team he leaves gets way worse, while where he joins get far better.

Sharp ShooterParticipant1. Gasol. (Can do everything, good lockeroom presence. Good defenasive player.)
2. Cousins (Dominant Offensive player, solid defensively. Underrated passer. His play needs to show in his teams record. Otherwise he would’ve been #1)
3. Howard (When motivated and not whinning, he can be THE top center but injuries and attitude has hurt him)
4. Drummond (Improving on O, is learning to utlize his skills instead of relying on his superb athleticism. Needs to continue to work on D . Can be dominant in some games. Need to bring it everynight. Very foul prone. Next season will really tell alot)
5. Al Horford (Great Mid Range, post up and passing ability. Needs to learn to takeover games.)
6. Jordan (very good on d almost non existent on O outside of dunks and lobs, CP3 can always glamorize run and jump center (like Chandler) so its no surprise Jordan on this list. needs to expand his game, and stop relying on his athleticism)
After this season, I would put G. Monroe on this list. Should do well with the Bucks, I still think that his poor post defense will be more exposed especially now that he has Jabari Parker, not Drummond next to him.
Tyson Chandler should do well in the Suns system as well to be considered.
Gobert will take a few years.

RigelzParticipantOnce we could talk about Shaq, Olajuwon, Ewing, Robinson, Mourning, the young Duncan and then Yao… now the best is Marc or DMC… where are big Cs?
Anyway i think DMC is the best, he is the one that could match the best centers of the past, when he is focused. Drummond is really intriguing but his % from the line is a real concern.
Third Marc, then Deandre and Gobert. Whiteside is interesting too.

Captain LParticipantCousins may be the most talented/ skilled of all the centers but I don’t think I would want him on my team. My top 5:
Gasol
Howard
Horford
Jordan
Gobert
honarable mention:
drummond, Vucivic, Chandler, Bogut, Whiteside ( his attitude a little troubling),

slepchorParticipantRight now the lineup is pretty obvious..
1) DMC
2) Gasol
3) Howard
4) Horford
5) Jordan
In 2-3 years though I see it being more like
1) Drummond
2) Gobert
3) Vucevic
4) Cousins
5) Jordan
My personal favorites are Gobert and Duncan (defensive and offensive excellence), and I know I’m probably going to get negged mercilessly for this, but if Marjanovic plays like he did last season in Euroleague, he might be top 10. In my defence, just how many of the Spurs’ moves through the years have been disastrous? lol
