Charlie V has all the talent in the world and could get a chance to do some damage for the Pistons, and if Josh Smith ever refined his offensive game, he could be a complete force.

I really think if he could move back to power forward on the same team as a defensive center he would really blow up. He is a 10 and 10 guy playing out of position, I think he’d be a 17 or 18 and 11 guy if he were to get in a situation like that.

yeah, he’s got a good basic skill set, i don’t think he’d be a first option anywhere, but I think he could be a good second option in the right scenario.

I think Andrew Bynum could develop into a superstar if he was given his own team. He has looked dominant before injuries the last 2 years. But Phil limits his minutes and is always telling him to just worry about defense and not offense. Plus Pau and Odom steal minutes.

I think Travis Outlaw is another solid choice. He has all the tools but has to share minutes in Portland. It still kinda baffles me that Portland went real hard after Turkoglu when they already have Outlaw, Batum, Webster and Fernandez who are ready to break out if given more minutes.

Aaron Brooks is another guy ready to step up his game with all the injuries in Houston. He showed in the playoffs last year what he is capable of when given freedom. He reminds of Dana Barros a little. Dana was a real solid player for years in Seattle, but he was coming off the bench on a deep team. Then they traded him to Philly and he became an all-star and averaged 20 points per game.

Im going to go out on a limb and say Nick Young , he is still unproven ,but i think he can be an elite score or a #1 option for a team to build around.

Im awaiting the day Carmelo finally becomes the leader of his team , and finally put’s it all togther……………some can say he did this year but Billups was really the emotional leader of that team.

Obviously Roy gets a lot of Credit, but he still is on a stacked team….If he were the number one scoring option completely, I think he would be considered a superstar, I love his game

I think Lamar Odom has star potential, but im not sure if he is better suited as a complementary player

I was always a Huge Richard Jefferson fan when he was in NJ but in SA he will never get the chance to break out in stardom… He definitely is as good or better then alot of all stars

I am sorry Harris is my favorite PG in the nba but he is not better then Deron Williams nnnoooo wwaayyy but as I said before I think Deron Williams would be an automatic superstar if he got his own team he does everything Chris Paul does equally only thing is he plays for an injury bug team who acts like Boozer is there ticket to a nba championship wrong! I think Marvin Williams can be great if he will be on his own team… He has tons of potential that never translated with the Atlanta Hawks though he does produce solid numbers but if he is going to a team that has no superstars, probably like Charlotte or Sacramento, I think he can have a 20ppg if not more…

wilson chandler already has a team he could have been a superstar on…the knicks sucked…and devin harris better then dwill??..lol..wont even comment on that. i would say charlie v but he disappears too much… and al horford will never be a superstar. a very good player yeah along the lines of hoarce grant in his prime when he was a allstar but no super star

Mikenike hit it on the head with Nick Young. He is an elite scorer with every single tool you could ask for as a scorer. He has a great 1st step, great athleticism, good shooter, and is a good finisher around the basket and he has a polished mid-range game. Im a big Nick Young guy.

the reason no-one has said J.R. Smith is because he is really a one dimensional player, sure he can got hops but he doesn’t use that to his advantage in games, he settles for 28 footers instead of being a threat in every fascet possible, think how much more he would score if he took it to the basket once in a while, he doesn’t have a very big arsenal of moves either.

Yea JR Smith isnt the best ball handler. He is leaps and bounds better than he was when he 1st got into the NBA (he actually ran the point a few times in the New Orleans series), but he is still a below average ball handler. He also is a ball-hog, but when he does pass he makes great plays.

jr smith, the kidd is like kobe 2.0 on offense, he acts and plays just like young kobe, he could probably put up 30 a game if given his own team.

thats a disrespect to kobe..lol…hes a good offensive player but hes no young kobe…also theres a difference between scoring points and scoreing while taking over the game…mostly due to points in the fourth and crunch time and key shots at key moments

I have seen game where JR simply did everything. From weakside to onthe ball steals, to handling and distributing in the half court and transition. He doesnt attack the boards like he could, but he could be a 25-5-5 1.5 steal kind of player were he ever able to get him mind right. 20-4-4 is still possible regardless. Not to mention he has the prettiest 3 point shot in the league. When his shoulders are square, its all net 5-6 times in a row.

dude so you’re telling me that kobe didn’t take bad shots, kobe was great defensively, coach wasn’t a headache. you aren’t thinking that kobe wasn’t always this great, he worked on his game, when he was young he was all offense and flair.

and i still would have taken him over smith when kobe was smiths age. to put it in perspective…jr just finished his 5th year so saying he could do what kobe could do or be just as good is saying that kobe in his 5th year would also be comming off the bench for the nuggest. im sorry but theres no way you are gonna convince me a fifth year kobe would be comming off the bench for the nuggests..some one said he could be a 25pt a game scorer with his own team. kobe was a 28 scorer while sharing the team with shaq. now if i reverse it and but this years jr smith on the lakers in 00-01 instead of kobe im pretty sure that team wouldnt be as good. and theres no way that d.jones would have started over kobe. if he started over jr smith then imagin how much less time he would have got playing behind eddie jones who was just as good or better then d.jones on defense and could score. jr isnt even close to kobe back then or now

another thing is smith is too inconsistant on offense and defense aqnd he does his own thing way to much. when kobe did his own thing he produced more results. theres a big difference between the two in year 5. kobe was already being talked about as one of the best players in the nba. if he had close to the talent or potenial as kobe then the hornets would have delt with the headachs and laziness and not have gotten rid of him like the lakers did with kobe. i agree that jr is a good player but no where near kobes level. i also agree george karl wouldnt have made kobe a 6th man in his fifth year

Kobe was a 20 ppg scorer by his 3rd year. He could have scored more his first 2 years, but he was playing on a title contender that was loaded with veterans like Shaq, Van Exel, Eddie Jones, Horry, Rick Fox, Byron Scott, Jerome Kersey. He showed glimpses of his greatness in the rookie game when he dropped 30 and in his game against Jordan his rookie year when he dropped 30 on MJ. Had he gone to a crappy team, he could have averaged like 15 a game as a rookie and 20+ his second year.

terry was on a horrible team in atlanta..i think he put up around the same..pretty much it equals mout..these guys get on better teams which in turn they deal with better defenses played against then so for the most part i dont think there stats jump much or or go down much less

I like Aldridge. He has good all around athleticism and nice range on his shot with a high release point. He’s definitely a tough matchup.

yeah but you can say the if thing with alot of players. if rondo played all season like he did against the bulls he would be first team all nba. im just not understanding how some can say if a player isnt even a 3rd option on there team then they could be a star on another team just because what they do in spurts. to be a start you have to be consistant. at least win a 6th man award first if youre comming off the bench
